Not to mention that in many cities, taxi drivers are a source of full-time employment for recent immigrants, while most UberX and Lyft drivers you'll come across are non-minorities working second jobs for some extra money. Not that every individual action of taking an Uber is racist, but the way the industry is

Gonna get all Valleywag up in here but really Uber is a goddamn terrible development in transportation from a labor and consumer safety standpoint:

Best gif.

No GZ shows? Really?

Bunch of times, they're from right outside my hometown. Saw them play a pop-up show in an alley once with a friend of mine doing live video mixing in the background. Awesome band live, really happy to see them getting attention for it now.

The Flippac is way ahead of you on this one.

What I hate even more is that "cancel" and "resume" share a button on modern Fords. I drove Honda products before I got my ST and got in the habit of hitting "cancel" twice just to make sure I was actually coasting. Tried that on my ST and got the opposite result. Not a fun experience when traffic suddenly starts

Basically.

Also, maybe a long-time big-rig trucker can answer this, but why is it that these trucks only seem to stall on train tracks for maximum carnage?

You see these everywhere in TJ. Taxi services, company cars, everyday drivers. It's built up such a solid reputation that most new compacts I see with BC plates are current-gen Sentras. Probably represented more down there than Civics and Corollas combined.

Just a couple Italian guys living the American dream

Thanks for this article. I now have time to brace myself for the disappointment of being handed the keys to this at the Hertz counter soon.

See? Is this so hard, Toyota?

I should say that I have talked about this before with the P1, and fake widows apparently fill me with a deep, soul-filling rage.

Last year Volkswagen sold 22,534 Jetta SportWagens. Granted, that's not a lot compared to the thousands of Toyota Camry sedans and Ford Fusions people buy, but it's a lot more than you think. More people drink Mountain Dew than Ommegang Abbey Ale, but that doesn't make the latter unpopular and I'd sure as hell rather

Yes! The Saab 9-5 wagon is back!

I haven't seen this in the US, but definitely existed in JDM and Asian market cars. Growing up my parents had a variety of Toyotas, and once you hit a certain speed (it was either 80 mph or 120 km/h...which are 50 or 75 mph WTF!) the car would start making this stupid chiming bell sound. Imagine that on a long stretch

I personally hate the front license plate. It's useless, ugly and costs the taxpayers extra money.

Now playing

Seconded for sure, way more likely to see this guy in PB/Encinitas, although I'd say the OP covers Escondido/San Marcos/Vista.

Nice choice, but the proper Jalop art museum choice would be MASS MoCA just for the road trip up through the Berkshires.
