@go out and love someone: I don't think he's judging it on not being real music - I think he's just saying it's terrible.

@VisforVanity: Slash doesn't sing and never has. He's the lead guitarist.

@Miss Suka: I love how when Prince does it it's art, but when Justin Bieber does it it's obnoxious as as fuck.

Seriously, who gives a shit? The internet is full of creeps. Film at 11.

@The Curse of Millhaven: Or maybe it's just a baby elephant, which are hairy and have brownish-gray skin?

@SheelaNaGig: She is annoyance personified on Boardwalk Empire. Ugh, that voice...

@Toastie: Yes ... that's exactly what I was saying?

@Toastie: People are more willing to believe the impossible than the improbable.

@carapatricia: I think the hate started when she was hired by The Daily Show and her first few appearances weren't particularly good.

@Angry Robot: I definitely remember seeing Firefly print ads. I also remember a fair bit of advance publicity, in Entertainment Weekly, TV Guide and elsewhere. Still no one watched.

@engtech: Maybe the advertising sucks, maybe the time slot sucked, maybe the title credits sucked. I'm not enough of a Firefly scholar to know any of those things. But without casting judgment upon the show itself, this is a sci-fi/western serial we're talking about, one starring a bunch of unknowns. It's not like

@wicked.nightingale: I'm not saying that networks don't make dumb or short-sighted decisions. They do. But there seems to be this notion among various fandoms that networks (Fox in particular) pick up interesting shows just to kill them. And that's just stupid.

@Damob: What about Firefly? Practically no one was watching it to begin with and its audience wasn't growing. Shows that are underperforming often get cancelled mid-season. It's the way TV programming works.

@SorciaMacnasty: Eh, I'd get hammered with Nikki too. She seems like an awesome shit-talker.

@whiteflea: #3 on UPN? That's ... not a lot of viewers.
