sack dresses are amazing. I’m plus size, and I bought a few with short sleeves, and I love running around in them — breezy and comfy. If I want to dress it up a little, I’ll add a thin belt and some jewelry.

I don’t really think it’s garbage at all. They had the first women majority legislature in 2008. If I recall, their Senators and Congresspeople are all Democrats. They didn’t vote Orange. There is a bit more of a right wing/Libertarian undercurrent than the rest of New England, but it’s still better than most states.

Well all of our Senators and representatives are women democrats, and we did vote for Clinton, so we’re not all bad. There is a loud bunch of Free Staters and Tea Partiers, but most that I met are refugees from massachusetts. Its a purple state, moving more blue yearly.

I for one welcome this trend and own several sack dresses. What I like the most is that I’m dressing for myself and my own comfort, and DGAF what people think. I don’t care how hobo-esque they look, sack dresses are airy, light, comfy and I can sweat in peace.

Here’s a tip, clothing manufacturers: if your “summer dress” is made out of 100% polyester then it is not, in fact, a summer dress. It’s a dress-shaped sauna. Ain’t no one got time for that.
