Im almost 100% certain the entire reason they are making a Matrix sequel is so they can make it crystal clear that taking the red pill was an allegory for their own experience and shut down the whole right’s co-opting of it.

See I battle with the idea that the show did her wrong. I think the show portrayed her fine...but misogyny is so deeply ingrained in our culture that people walked away thinking she was worse than the rest.

This judgmental/snarky tone feels extremely dated in this present moment. People are stuck in their homes, trying to stay productive and occupied. If your hair trigger is to find people to dunk on for doing it wrong...have mercy. 

I think these feelings are specifically because it’s *this* woman. It’s because not only is she so much more competent and qualified than anyone else up there, Warren was held up as the example 4 years ago when everyone was saying they’d vote for a woman, just not Hillary.

Yes, they responded to a woman’s allegations of sexism by calling her a snake and a liar. That’s a good look. Really rallies people (especially women) to the One True People’s Champion.

i dunno, The Root did more to explain the benefits of a Warren presidency than Jezebel ever did.
