made him hard to manage

...when confronted with complaints about Ancel, the CEO allegedly said Ancel’s stardom in the games industry was both helpful for Ubisoft’s public perception but also made him hard to manage, and that it would be up to staff representatives and HR to protect the people who work under him.

For being run by a company that loathes unions, they sure do go above and beyond to encourage people to join unions.

This is one of those “People tell you exactly who they are” moments where someone will fully and completely tell on themselves.

I know it has nothing to do with Sony, but that mech game just makes me want Titanfall 3 more than anything. I need to know what’s gonna happen to my boy, B.T.

To those who play this, how is the online play? Is it laggy or nah? I’m wary of Nintendo’s first-party online modes anymore, ever since Smash always had some level of lag in each match.

Honestly, I’m really excited about the possibilities of multiplayer. I freakin’ loved the multiplayer mode from Revelations. It was such a fun game type. I really wish they’d bring back another stealth-based multiplayer mode.

Man, but seriously though, the team who makes these tiny clips (such as at the end of a character’s Classic Mode run) are underrated legends. They put together an ungodly amount of fun little scenarios like this. Mad respect to them

Yikes. AnotherJournalists? More like Bloggers, HAH! Got ‘em!” comment. Not sure where you guys are coming from, but it’s like watching a roach infestation slowly take over. Just the absolutely most-mindless comments meant to sound “intelligent.”

Yeah. AI controlling something like this becomes dangerous because, ultimately, AI can only learn from what they are fed. They don’t understand nuance, they don’t understand cultural significance or subtlety

No. The biggest gripe is the corporate exploitation of Black people and Black culture. Specifically, the concept that a corporation can create a digital “Black” icon—a fake non-human who doesn’t have the lived experience to be Black, who doesn’t genuinely come from or represent Black people or their culture, but is

Right? This is EA we’re talking about here. The second a game goes into a slump, they cut ties and leave the devs to rot.

But like... the entire point is, if you already have a Netflix subscription (which many people do), you don’t have to buy them

There’s been an uptick in really shitty commenters on this website. Like, there used to be worthwhile conversation in the comments. Now most every article’s top post is some armchair-expert whining about something or other, most often about Kotaku itself, in true “gamer” fashion

Careful, this exact opinion brought out the hordes in John’s article from the other day.

Cool, I dig that take. Thanks. As someone who’s curious and hasn’t played it yet, I enjoy hearing additional opinions like this to build out my understanding of the game

Except it doesn’t bash the sci-fi robots for being sci-fi robots. He even mentions how he accepts that the setting becomes “cat in robot city,” because hell, that’s what was advertised. What he does is he laments the fact that an interesting game that advertised itself as a cat sim suddenly becomes a hallway-level

But Kotaku talked bad about the thing these people hyped. That’s the internet cardinal sin.

“You also probably shouldn’t get a tattoo of a character [who] looks cool and hyped-up but hasn’t debuted yet or fulfilled their story arc,” Ritchie said.

lol the burn on Diablo Immortal in the slideshow. But seriously, that was a great slideshow. Wish I could have understood his talk, he had a lot of great, empowering ideas
