I have this theory that Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson only read their parts and not the entire script before they sign on.  Honestly it’s the only way I can explain their participation.

Why publicly defend the guy caught on camera harassing someone? What do you have to gain besides putting yourself out there as a terrible person? It’s not like they can convince us it didn’t happen!

Ooh, I dunno about that. I think Camille absolutely knew, and just mentally compartmentalized it. And I have a hard time believing that Weinstein’s wife didn’t know, either. In both cases, it was just too much of an open secret.

-By not taking note of all of the instances over the past couple of years where people have had to walk back on these types of statements once they learn the whole story.

Allow me to tell you all a story, and you make of it whatever you want...

9 million and the on-set footage of him doing exactly what Dushku claimed it was doing.

Oh, well those couple tweets have swayed my opinion and he’s just fucking dandy!  He probably likes coaching his daughters’ basketball team, too...

Oh my goodness, it’s a real life “Can I Borrow a Feeling?”:

The ‘lost scene’ from It’s a Wonderful Life, a frontrunner for all-time greatest SNL sketch: ‘You made one mistake Mr Potter, you double-crossed me and left me alive!’

You sound like a sad person.

However if it turned out that we men are actually getting worse, as opposed to the rate of reporting of male violence just growing higher - that is just as bad to contemplate.

Papenheim studied psychology at Erasmus University with a focus in suicide, which resulted in her brother’s death in 2015.

Won’t help. From my experience HR departments, no matter what they say, are there to protect the company, not the employees.

Of course.  Women are all assumed to be unreliable narrators.  So unreliable that CBS didn’t even believe the video that corroborated it.

I work in a small office that is predominantly women. We hired a man, who immediately started making inappropriate comments. When he made a rape joke in front of me at a staff meeting, I called him out on it and said it was not ok. The other women in the office would giggle and tell me I was overreacting because he

Fuck you.

I think you are underestimating the power of abusive relationships

This reminds me of when Jian Ghomeshi brought in video and texts *to his employer* of him abusing his accusers. He thought by showing *his employer* all the “rough sex” he had would clear his name because he alleged they were 100% consensual encounters.
