I’ve always know that they did this but it’s sad that a lot of people who use credit cards don’t know about this till it’s too late.

Yikes. If you want to and your credit is good enough, if they don’t waive it, open a new account somewhere else and transfer it. Don’t need to do business with them if they want to be like that. Most often people have a choice. And even if you don’t give them interest fees by paying in full, they still make $ off

Hub was told that he over dressed as well and had to lose the tie and jacket.

Sounds like this kid just throws fits every time someone tells him to do something. In something about Kevin it was more about manipulating everyone else but his mom in order to make her look insane when in reality he really was a sociopath who needed help but never got it because no one took her claims seriously.

    Mostly completely unrelated:

Might want to put auto pay on it, which is what I do. I also have paper statements sent home and I review them when I get them to make sure no fraudulent charges were on it which has yet to happen. I usually get a text message well before that if my card was compromised but that’s just me being paranoid.

I can only add this. When hub got his mortgage for our house he had a credit card that he wasn’t using (but it was still open and active) because my card that he was an authorized user on had actual cash back rewards while his didn’t (it was also through a credit union and was the bane of our existence that has

Small businesses and self employed who use PayPal as an easy way for customers to pay them and for them to pay others for business team ups probably will love it. Also might be easier if you’re sending money internationally.

I agree but it’s nice to have the option in case things get weird. I got a 30 year mortgage but pay it like a 15 year for the same reason. In case things get weird I can fall back into paying it like a 30 year, get through the weird time and be less likely to ruin my credit or lose my house.

I hope that they don’t cut staff but rather put those in cashier positions into the departments to help because I find I spend more money when people in those departments are able to help me. At Ralph’s (when I used to live in LA) made it hard to get help for things like seafood and meat department and I often walked

I agree, and that’s exactly what we did. But I swear we got about 5 letters the first month we bought the house and so far about one per month. We also got a ton of bs title insurance things that had nothing to do with our purchase. We already paid something similar as part of our closing costs and I think we got

Ummm, he’ll do what he has always done, get new insurance at the new place. All the jobs he’s had offer the same life insurance options. Though he won’t get a new job in the same area (super small town, only one company here that could employ him). If he loses that job or he gets another one it would require us to

Theres this extra thing that people try to con you into buying that’s not mip or pmi, but more of a mortgage life insurance policy. In case you die, it pays off your mortgage. It’s dumb. I get an offer in the mail at least once a month for it.

Ugh. That’s awful. I’m so sorry to hear that. Florida has gotten even weird since I left. I mean, I’m sort of back since I live less than a half hour from the border and less than an hr from Tallahassee where we do a lot of shopping because we live in a “small city”.

Out of curiosity, did you have uninsured/underinsured insurance as well? The medical insurance had the opportunity to recover that $200k from the guy who wrongly hurt you, so if they didn’t then that’s their own problem. :/

When we bought our house it was around the yearly time hub could change his life insurance at work so he upped it enough to pay off the house and give me some cash to buy me time to figure out stuff if he died. Will up it again once we have kids and lower it once the house is paid off and again once the kids are on

I think they’re talking about those insurance offers you get in the mail to protect your loved ones if you die from losing the house that pay off your mortgage when you die.

We just upped the life insurance hub buys through work to cover the mortgage and give me some money to live off of until I can get on my feet.
