Certain stores seem to have manager specials on those items which are useful if you can stock up on them when you see them. I tend to buy in bulk at Costco and be happy with the time saved not going to another store. Going to multiple stores wasn’t a big deal where I lived in LA though it was a small time suck. Now

I try to shop for non essentials only if I have a coupon though it’s usually online. Still, had to resist the urge to buy more bath & body works stuff now that they have free shopping on $30 and I have a 20% off coupon and it’s their semi annual sale. I already bought a bunch in store. :( Same with other stores

That’s annoying. Usually they get bought out and just switch you to the new bank and you even sometimes get to keep your old number.

I didn’t think switching to a bank, be it normal or credit union, was that big of a deal.

First, sorry that happened. Insurance sucks that they do that. However, Progressive’s own scoring system isn’t your credit score. The story still holds in that it does help your credit score. Article said nothing about it affecting a company’s internal systems for assessing whether to charge you more. It is

I’d assume exepenses are close to London and add a little more for security and if your new city requires car costs like payments & insurance and DMV registration costs (and a small emergency fund just for car issues) add that to the expenses if you didn’t have one in London. Also include estimates for moving your

That’s what I thought too. I can tell you we had 15k when we moved from CA to GA BUT we also got one month’s salary as a bonus, they paid for our temp living for 3 months while we looked for a house, paid part of our closing expenses, paid to ship our stuff over, most expenses of us driving over, and paid to ship my

She may not share it but she should work with you on it. (Maybe not go for the most pragmatic option but maybe the second or third most depending on options).

That last part is not solely a female concern, having guys potentially stalk you and no one is home to help once you get there is.

I’d say someone’s who is introverted needs a roommate more than an extrovert. Extroverts tend to go out more and have friends over while introverts may only converse with people at work and a roommate and they too need some form of human contact. Also living by yourself female is scary. At least a roommate is

I wonder what effect playing video games and working out has on people. I haven’t worked since a few months after I started dating my now hub and I haven’t seen any decline. (8 years now) I’ve been lonely from time to time but overall playing games and being online seems to keep my mind engaged. Working out is also

This is why I hope to either be surrounded by grandkids who need attention or to go to a senior centered living place that has a lot of social activities so that’s not a problem.

You can’t collect on SS until you’re allowed to, and even waiting only buys a few years.

If hub does something it will work that is on his terms and not someone else’s or only for part of year on a contract. Not sure how that will happen but losing weekends and sleep (when he can’t come home for hours because of bs) and life in general is not an option once we can get away from working.

It might take awhile since I have a lot of stuff going on (exercise program, comic con) coming up but when I do it I’ll update this. :)

Part of early retiring is knowing what you want to do. You can’t just veg out and watch tv all day and that have a good effect on your mind. But it does offer flexibility to do whatever you want without worrying about having a steady job. (Also if this is true why isn’t it a thing among housewives after the kids

    I’ll give it a whirl.

Any tips on negotiating a lower interest when you don’t carry a balance?

Yea I have the same issue with gas. A lot of people seem to have both for different things. I think the one we got will be a good Intro grill and we are trying it out this weekend. Fingers crossed!

I don’t think that was an option. Other people’s flashlights were fine, though most had those ones you have on your head. It was just really awkward at night trying to get to the bathroom and the light would go out about halfway there.
