The first nerdy name I gave a cat was Biggs (Luke’s friend in Star Wars) (also RIP) and then I named my next cat Pi. Dewey was already named that at the shelter but we decided it was short for Dewey decimal system, and then of course Neutrino.

Aw! That’s so cute. 💖
If you’ve decided on getting a nice new couch then that’s the way to go. If you don’t have a couch that you’re moving with, that and a bed are the two things you need to get asap or at least a cheap version of it to tide you over till you get the real deal.
I was about to make the same point as @BigFatUglyBugFacedBabyEatingO’Brian. A short version was read during class in one of those huge HS lit books. I read the whole thing but the version we read in class covered all of the good parts.
I’d love to if I knew their hours (not posted) and they’re usually closed when I want to buy something. I wish Starbucks was closer than 40 minutes away just so I had it as an option. (Dunkin’ Donuts/baskin Robins combo is awful for the kind of drinks I like.) I make do with making it at home and drinking monster…
Maybe you have good local places but my “city” doesn’t have any Starbucks. As far as I know we only have one specialty coffee place that doesn’t post their hours and is usually closed, charges the same as or more than Starbucks and isn’t as good. It’s that or a Dunkin’ Donuts/baskin robins combo or local donut…
That’s insane. I’ve never had that happen before and I’ve bought a lot of book ls on Amazon proper. I think I’m up to 6 in the last couple of months. (Not my usual amount but a lot got released recently and I finally got around to supporting some people I enjoy all around the same time.)
If by FBA you mean Fulfilled by Amazon, I think the notion is that if it’s FBA then it’ll be easier to get your stuff faster(prime) and it’ll be easier for them to fix issues with the product. Recently I had a cold brew set (glass) not secured in the big box and it was shattered. In a few minutes they had a new one…
I buy used items from time to time but usually only books that are older edition textbooks or are out of print period. I’ve even bought from good will on ebay for those types of books. So far all the books are in the expected condition depending on age.
That’s rough. Good luck with dealing with him. :)
Points and don’t have to guess how much cash you need to carry to get everything done in your life. Also better for tracking where you spend your money. Made it easier for me to budget, forecast/place holds in excel on my money for future known costs, and to keep track of where I was with my spending. But that’s…
It’s definitely tricky. I think having good boundaries and spending quality special time with the person is better than abandoning them completely if they’re suffering. But if that person is really hurting you maybe the best solution is to try to get them help, if they don’t want to tell them you love them but you…
Limit the time you give her access to you, try to make it more special so she doesn’t feel like you’re shunning her and if it’s special she’s less likely to be as bad, and just keep working on healthy boundaries.
I think boundaries help with that I you don’t want to cut them off.
If you can’t or don’t want to stop seeing him (and limiting might be the best of both worlds) the upside is that you’ll be desensitized to that kind of talk. Especially since you know in his case what he’s saying is more about him and how he’s using you as a mirror to see himself it probably won’t hurt as much in the…
I wish I used Craigslist for these items back in Los Angeles. (Facebook didn’t have that feature yet). The pool of people who would want these items and would pay what they’re worth was a lot better than where I am now. Let’s just say our city has a Walmart but no target, a lowes but no Home Depot, and not one…
Thanks. I’m not cleaning out my closet so much as I just want to sell collectibles I no longer want but I also know they have value and want them to go to a home where they’re more likely to be tended to as a collectible. But I still want to pocket as much money as possible. :)
Thanks for the advice. It’s only bad when the supply is super limited and there’s no chance for anyone else to get them. (Like comic con or a lot do disney limited stuff) and even then that’s on the company selling it to set limits for that reason. If that person wants to use up their allotment on selling the…
What kind of things did you sell? I’m looking at selling some comic con stuff, some of it oversized and I’m anxious to actually sell on eBay or Amazon. I used to sell textbooks on eBay but that seemed super easy compared to speciality items. Thanks.
I have a few comic con items that I’d like to sell but they’re often oversized and I worry about selling. What service did you use?
