They can surprise you. We just bought ours a new one that I thought would be challenging and he figured it out way too fast. *sigh*

All our critters are rescues (blind cat, a giant dopey lab, and a terrier-shepherd-mutt). They’re great, but we got them all from rescue groups who had a decent handle on their histories, they’d been fostered so the fosters knew their personalities well, and because they’d been fostered they had some extra training.

Exactly :)

Also if you haven’t tried it our terrier is really a brainiac (like he’s stupid smart). We’ve been trying to do more puzzle games with him (like the puzzle feeders, or when it snows hiding treats in the snow for him to find, which is great fun - you could also do this around the house). That’s a great way

I think people are confusing “high energy” with other things. Terriers were originally bred as working dogs - they have lots of energy and can turn into a terror when that energy doesn’t have an appropriate outlet. Sauce: I have a “terror” mutt. He’s pretty hilarious, but those weeks when it rains for days straight

Which do you think came first? (the whining or the cheating) :)

Also, yeah, solution is pretty easy for both of them - but I really was trying to be nice/helpful in the original post. lol.

Easy :D

SISOSIG/Caller Number One:

Just a guess from my limited anatomy and physiology from HS but light stretching, for people with joint inflammation, etc, gets things moving, blood flow increases and warms up the joint, which can often ease that morning stiffness. tendons and ligaments I kind of imagine it like a frost covered blade of grass or

Ahh. See, that’s all well and good except when you’re charged more than the cost of the envelope and stamp to mail the check to pay online (which, believe it or not, some of my utilities charge because they suck).

LOL. I live in Kansas. I’m lucky they have a website. And no, not doing auto-deduct, because no.

That seems about right; I keep forgetting that we’re over a decade into the 2000s already. I swear the nineties were only a couple of years ago. ;) [damn I feel old]

That’s kind of nice - but, you know, I have so little faith in bill pay I’m not sure I’m ready for something like keypass yet. :) Maybe one day. But for now I’m able to remember all my passwords (for the most part) and avoid making new accounts when I can because I don’t want to have to log in to every site I visit.

That’s kind of why I hate doing the online paying bills thing - bill pay seems a lot simpler (and will link to those utilities, such as Comcast or electricity that will share the eBill with them, which is nice). I don’t trust the magic password genies yet enough to use them for all my passwords (I must seem as if I

I’ll probably check it out - but my original criticism stands; sometimes the financial stuff that gets talked about here is just above my pay-grade. Great for those who need it, nevertheless, but when you’re just barely beyond having to squish your paychecks together to make the ends meet up, well... :P

Our bills often change due dates (utilities) and our paychecks while regular, don’t always fall in the right spots making this kind of auto-pay deductions more difficult without a decent buffer, especially for larger bills.

HAHAHA - until this week when I was too lazy to reorder checks in time to pay bills - I paid all bills via the check, envelop, stamp system. I had to sign up for bill pay this week because I won’t get my checks in time (it’s free through my credit union as long as I use it once a month, and frankly about time I used

Ah yeah, that stuff is hard (thus my username). Anxiety helps somewhat (unless it gets too bad in which case your anxiety prevents you from doing the things that your anxious that you haven’t done yet - which is my problem). :P

PS love the user name :)

Hon, nothing wrong with seeing a therapist yourself. Hell, it might even encourage your wife; but you also need to take care of yourself and if you need someone to talk to a therapist might be helpful in helping you develop specific coping strategies for handling everything.

Sounds like you’re looking for CBT (cognitive and behavioral therapy - described as learning to recognize negative thought patterns and change them (cognitive) and changing behaviors (behavioral)) instead of traditional psychoanalysis or psychodynamic therapy. CBT tends to be very goal oriented - you set specific
