that’s part of it. it’s not just a day to lay in the sun and hold a sign. there is sacrifice in striking. and that’s fine.

you might be taking care of your kid at home, but it’ll have a huge impact if all the female teachers strike.

The difference I see there is that those strikes were aimed very pointedly at fixing problems in their industries. so a striking taxi worker is triking bc it will likely bring about some changes (hopefully fairly quickly) in taxi work.

They are picking their battles. It is annoying and disappointing. But I think, for the most part, they are battling over the worst ones. So.
