My local Mazda dealer where I bought my 3 (Morrie’s Minnetonka Mazda) has a Eunos Cosmo on display in the showroom. Every time I stop for a car wash I lust after that thing...

Stay strong. Maybe some of the manufacturers will listen to us.

edit: Haven’t owned an automatic car since mid-2009, have zero desire to go back. Strangely enough, I encounter a lot of people who say “Your car is a manual? I’m so jealous / I want one so bad...” but most certainly don’t try own one.

Between uBlock Origin and my PiHole, I see precisely zero ads. It actually works so well that I forget the ads are even a thing on these sites...

This guy’s detailing bill is gonna be epic.

Also, this is a case study of how even the most aggressive all-terrain tire intended for pavement use is most certainly not a mud tire.

I ran Nokian WRG3 all weathers on my Outback before my current car, and they were extremely good for tires with an actual mileage warranty. Not quite full winter tire good, but considering they were all year tires, definitely the best I’ve had in that category.

2016 iGT hatch. Manual, of course, but it’s got an open differential. It’s literally the worst winter car I’ve ever driven, aside from my dad’s ‘82 Z28 that also had a one wheel wonder.

Here’s to holding out hope that Mazda will bless us with an AWD manual 2.5 turbo 3 hatch... I’d get a speeding ticket on the way to

Minnesota guy here. I’ve got Hakkapeliitta R2s for winters for my Mazda 3. They’re the only reason it’s remotely tolerable in the snow. They’re better winters than every other tire I’ve owned, though I’ve never had Blizzaks so I can’t compare that.

Now playing

As others have stated, C4C didn’t really contribute to this scenario. However, here’s the dissertation on C4C from our friends at RCR. I found this one interesting.

Well, don’t I feel dumb. I assumed that was the WRX / STI interior. Which is embarassing because I’ve actually driven one of those before. Shows how good of an impression it made, I suppose.

The automatic transmission (Edit: CVT, iirc) and the fact that it’s not available as a hatchback?

I live in Minnesota and my 2016 3 iGT hatch is the worst winter car I’ve had since my dad’s ‘82 Z28 when I was in high school. Hakkapeliittas are the only thing that make it tolerable, and I still got stuck twice a couple winters ago. 362 days a year I’m totally fine with the car, which is why I defected from Subaru

That’s the exact problem. Me and my handful of like-minded consumers aren’t enough to make them build it.

I so wish they’d offer an AWD manual... Even if it’s just the standard 2.5. Offer the premium package 3 with AWD and third pedal. I’ll buy one immediately.

On Acura’s site, I just configured a TLX A-Spec in blue and it came to $46k and some change. That same site puts this one “Starting at $48,xxx”. To me, paying an extra few thousand for an exclusive gorgeous paint job and having whatever degree of handbuilt they offer here doesn’t seem like a bad deal. If I were

I hadn’t seen that article, and it certainly doesn’t make me comfortable with the idea of other people driving my car.

I honestly don’t know if fleet vehicles are subject to the same warranty as a retail purchased car, so if anybody can confidently answer that please do. I can’t help but wonder if some of the cars on Turo suffer premature wear and subsequent broken parts because people rent them to beat on them / don’t really know how

This build video gave me anxiety. Probably because I’m used to watching Bad Obsession’s videos where everything is meticulous and beautiful. Also he left the part out where he burned the shit out of his leg on insanely routed exhaust header.

It has to be only a matter of time until factory warranties have clauses that private rental services like Turo will void your warranty. I give it a few years.

This man is an absolute artist in presenting things like this, and I greatly miss his own youtube channel’s activity.

I’m gonna invoke my Minnesota mentality here.

The body is as nice as any of these I’ve seen in a long time, and the interior looks reasonable. Driveline components can be rebuilt, but rust is cancer.
