Comment asking to be let out of the grays.
Hm, looks like shit!
What we got here is an advertorial. Even the pull quotes are clearly marketing language. First I’ve seen here and pretty unfortunate.
Wow. Deleting the majority of reader comments on a “Jalopnik” article doesn’t look good at all. Bad optics on this one.
For anyone who missed it, there was about 80 comments on this post earlier today. There was 12 when I posted the above comment, then only 4 a couple minutes later.
Is it needed to keep the lights on? The actual ads are more numerous and intrusive than they’ve ever been. This just reeks of herbs gotta herb. They could have actually just had this freelance writer review the car rather than having her write some spon that was no doubt revised by 14 different marketing departments.

Holy fuck did y’all delete all the negative comments on this? Very bold to fuck with your own readers like that.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It’s ugly
They are waiting for Richard Hammond to test it
Mercedes: We didn’t get away with it and now we’re pissed that other teams are trying the same shit we pulled last year.
I have zero sympathy for Mercedes, especially when they are still winning all the races and are on track to win constructors championship again.
You’re doing math to choose which is the optimal way to get ripped off.
No Pastor Maldonado?
I hope Peter Gabriel buys it
I currently drive a Ford but would never buy one again if this got implemented.
So...in a time where distracted driving is becoming more of a danger and increasingly penalized we get this?
I was pretty taken with the looks of the first Evoque when it came out, especially the two door. In the 10 years since then, the rest of the market has gone all in on CUVs, and this thing now seems like an also ran alongside a dozen options that cost less and look similar.
Whatever Musk’s past deeds and intents, if he actually manages to make cryptocurrencies collapse (and, ideally, the art not-fungus bullshit with them, please), I’ll go as far as raising a drink to him, for real, in real life.
