I even thought WW was a downer, outside of some fish-out-of-water fun in the London scenes. I don’t like the speed-ramping of the action, and the ending was another DCU-patented video game boss fight. And the script kind of stunk.

I didn’t see the launch trailer, so fair play, I suppose. But the game’s been out only a few weeks, and I imagine lots of people skipped or otherwise didn’t see the trailer - AV Club could’ve hidden the reveal easily enough in the headline.

Ya know I don’t usually get all shirty about spoilers, but plopping this reveal right in the headline - “above the fold,” no less - is irresponsible. I’m looking forward to playing this game after enjoying the story in New Order, and wanted to go in fresh. So thanks a pantload for that.

I loved Maron on GLOW, too, and have been listening to his podcast for about a year and very much enjoying it. I don’t think Maron would say he’s a good guy - he had his problems earlier in his life and is very open about them now.

Fall of 2018 and it may not even happen? I repudiate this information! Don’t we face enough fucking imponderables nowadays?

It looks like Flash is turning the corner on the women’s storylines- I very much like what they’re doing with Caitlin/Frost, and hopefully they give more for Iris to do as they did last ep.

Isn’t that EU stuff, and completely non-canon?

Gregory may be the most clear cut and best written character on the show nowadays. He’s never not entertaining.

Even with the subpar action, I would like this storyline okay without yet another ‘attack of the consciousness’ subplot. Jesus, Jesus, these people will kill you without a moment’s hesitation. This is the 9th time TWD has rehashed this gimmick, and it still feels tin-eared and false as ever.

I’m all for the NYC attacker to be dumped in that Colorado SuperMax alongside the shoe bomber and the Boston Marathon terrorist, never to be heard from again.

One Shining Moment

He’s been to the other side, man.

I just want to see a bit more agency from Will next season - like his possession by the shadow monster has given him his own set of gnarly powers.

Even after the first season I thought he was still alive, in the ‘if you don’t see a body, they’re not dead’ ground rules of genre fiction.

I’m very close to ditching this show, finally. TWD does zombie action well but cannot film gun battles - to Zach’s point there’s no energy to these scenes, and the show treading the same old moral quandaries is more boring than ever.

I’ll take it you’ve seen Communion? The alien peeking out at Christopher Walken is never not creepy. But it’s the abduction scene from Close Encounters that scared the tits off me as a kid.

The idea of mental illness have always scared me, and, depending on the tone, I get very uncomfortable watching that scenario play out on screen. Babadook was deeply disturbing, in terms of the main character slowly cracking under the weight of her isolation and loneliness. (Essie Davis is fan-freaking-tastic btw)

The finale picked things up for me and gave some direction to a back half of a season that felt, at times, low stakes and aimless. The last scene with Kemper and Holden was fantastically unnerving - and to Katie’s point finally humanizes Holden to the point where I care about him. And ‘Mindhunter’ being reality-based

How much is Gollum around in this game as compared to SoM? He is one piece of fan service the developers could have left behind. But at least we get a completely unique grumpy white beardo protagonist!

Honestly, it is worth watching - just try your best to ignore the more vocal shitheads who see Rick as a role model.
