I too I’m growing tired of the gratuitous BDSM silliness and “outrageous” sex - though if they want to chuck a Victoria-AOC rimming scene into the mix as a capper, who am I to argue?

I’m always wondering at what point people making a ‘bad’ movie know it’s going to be bad.
Not a ton of interest in this, but just gets me thinking of the de-aging tech inThe Irishman. Which had me mostly convinced until “young” DeNiro is giving a gentle back massage to that shopkeeper with his feet.
I enjoyed DD2, but was disappointed with how the game shuttles you to the end so quickly after 50 hours of exploration. There’s a whole new area that you can’t get to, then BAM, you’re being led through it by an NPC to the final fight. Felt like I missed something, or did sometihng wrong, which is entirely possible!
There’s a bit of a marketing swerve there - we don’t actually see the Battle for the Wasteland as advertised. That said, I loved the “quieter” last scene with Dementus and Furiosa.
I like him, but the way he’s written here is no help. He supposedly lacks impulse control, but when he finally ‘snaps,’ it’s very cold and calculating. He basically committs premdiated murder at one point. Liman also has him describing his feelings like that old Futurama devil bot bit. That’s how we know he’s angry!
A theater viewing of this helps, because I was so goddamned anxious during the build-ups. The backstage stuff is a welcome tension break - also an old couple next to me came in after the opening VO, and I wondered if they knew what they were in for.
That is a rough headline, but if that’s what she said, that’s what she said.
A bridge too far in the surrealism dept for this viewer. I don’t like realism that’s magical, either.
Is Dougie’s game as simple as wanting to break up Asher and Whitney? He was hitting on Whitney pretty hard that first or second ep.
The man has never made an emotionally impactful, character-driven movie in his life. I did quite like his Dawn of the Dead remake, however.
First I’ve heard of this - looks very interesting indeed.
Is it possible to watch Dark Winds anywhere besdies with a AMC+ sub?
As someone who has a terror of public speaking, I saw that look as anxiety as his turn got closer and closer. I may be projecting here, mind.
Cynicism is not wisdom, Matt.
Fiona Dourif makes those new Chucky movies go - she’s good in the series, too.
His Ouijua prequel is surpsingly good.
It took me a couple of viewings to understand what Creep is going for. Liked it much better the second time. Didn’t like the sequel as much, however.
The simple ‘fuck around and find out’ nature of the story has me intrigued, even as someone who doesn’t like the franchise.
I had (mostly) a blast with both Surge games. Maybe LotF2 will do it for you.
