I wouldn’t ditch Radio Ga Ga but It’s Late deserves mention over a couple of selections here.

That run-time gives me pause every time I think of checking out the movie. 1hr 40M of that atmosphere just seems too much.
Unexplained grief: Mutt was struck and killed by a cement truck.
I honestly thought the relationship between Barry and his mom in this latest Flash movie was weirder than the premise at play here. LIke and share if you AGREE!!
This sounds like that John Cusack movie that had a twist so dumb, it would make M. Night blush.
Said the raven to the crow.
It was Hackman who also threatened the Academy if they didn’t snub Farina after his death. ALLEGEDLY>
Event Horizon will always be a weird watch for me - just an odd combination of 90s cock rock action and Marilyn Manson/Hellraiser visuals. A very imaginative and original premise with some creepy moments, but I can’t get myself to like it.
I’ve been re-visiting a bunch of King novels on audio book, and The Shining does not hold up as well I thought. King obviously loves Halloran, but his journey from FL to CO in the book is so drawn out it bogs down the entire 3rd act.
The guy playing Harold was the best thing about the new adaptation. Man wearing a person suit to a tee.
Yeah they still haven’t gotten The Stand right - and I know ppl like the 90s series. Frigging with the timeline and Flagg’s characterization in this new one were huge downers.
Running Man is much more in the ballpark of the King (er Bachman) story. Tonally completely different but some of the same plot beats. Lawnmower Man is a short story about a Pan-like demon that eats grass.
Lloyd was quite good IMO. Very creepy when he’s stalking his mom and doing the Redrum voice. Very sad and lonely sounding when he’s chatting with “Tony.” He does his job.
Please explain how Shawshank was racist. King certainly has had his Magical Negro issues, but this is no Green Mile.
It Ch. 2 is especially egregious considering it’s not some low-budget 90s tv schlock-fest. I didn’t even enjoy the first movie all that much - and admittedly had a grudge on the whole shebang when Fukunaga walked. How perfect would he have been in capturing the dread of the book?
They still have to live the rest of their lives - what does money mean to ppl who’ve never had to struggle for anything? Power or proximity to it was where Kendall and Co got their ya-yas.
For Shiv, proximity to ultimate power was preferable to be being an underling to a brain-broken incompetent.
I’m a little surprised how blithely the boys are taking Shiv into their confidence - even being blinkered nepo baby idiots, there has to be some lizard-brain self preservation there after essentially cutting Shiv out from the top spot. If nothing else, R&S know betrayal, selfishness, back-biting and so forth.
I really liked Ragnarok for its balance of humor and pathos. In Thor 4, the overreliance on absurdity where every character is a buffoon (besides Bale) made me want to kill everyone on screen. Why are Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman acting like goofs, too? Why? And those kids. Those awful, awful kids. I’m sorry,…
But when you do it, it’s cute!
