I saw a couple of clips of the Nier sequel and it looks fun - I know little about the original, but I'm feeling some character action type craziness for the spring.

I liked Styles cutting off Cena when Cena went into his "I respect you" bit. Styles has vastly improved his promos over his time with the company.

No, I very much liked Hell or High Water. The Justified comparison was a compliment.

No Country was almost a horror flick, so that comparison doesn't jibe with me. I was more reminded of 'Justified' than anything.

What are you referring to?

I do read the comics and the Negan arc is mostly the same. Negan's ppl follow him because he's a charismatic figure who can provide protection and an upwardly mobile life, such as is, if you fly straight. He also offers them a sort of power they maybe didn't have pre-apoc. A guy like that will draw and keep people, i

I think Rick's crew staying and fighting makes sense, if that's what you're talking about. They've been wandering for years and losing people constantly. Stay, fight and rebuild society. They can't run forever.

I enjoyed this episode, and I've been down on the season overall. Though it's a small point, Negan shaving makes him look more menacing - in fact I thought this was the most effective he's been all year. Not that I care about Spencer, but the scene with him and Negan had some suspense going. What makes Negan a

The Carl/Negan relationship is some of the more interesting stuff from the comics - largely due to comics Carl being a surprisingly strong character - but I agree with Zach here. Riggs simply doesn't have the chops to pull it off. His line reading of "I just want Negan. Nobody else has to die" (or whatever the exact

Don't think the world needed a whole episode dedicated to a tertiary character, especially since we haven't seen Carol and the Kingdom in like 3 weeks. I just found the hour tension-free and kind of boring - though I did appreciate the Saviors tie-in at the end. At least there was some connection to the main story

Sometimes you just got to eat the $60 and move on.

JDM's Negan is a watered down version of his comics clone, if you can believe it. He's doing OK with questionable material, but he'd be better served by the writers having him explain his motivation, however twisted, e.g. you guys owe for us for keeping you safe from the zombies. That's touched on a bit here, but TWD

I liked the beat-to-beat moments of the episode well enough, but this show's terminal problem is what you describe. It ain't changing now.

The Alexandria group would still be massively outnumbered, at least that's Rick's fear. Though it's not like the Saviors are this structured group with ranks of leadership. Waste Negan and then what? An army of these guys looking for revenge? I can't imagine they'd give a shit - a better possibility is they kill each

Let's talk about the new AV Club font. Is it new or have I gone crazy as Negan?!

The show's main issue is competently building up characters between the usually very good action-centric episodes. Carol - who as you know gets offed fairly early on in the comics - is the best character on TWD the show by a mile. It's like she's on a different show all-together, in fact.

A Daryl heel turn would actually be interesting. Fan boy love and plot armor may scotch that plan, however.

In the comics Negan kills a guy for attempting to rape a hostage. His attitude was that he wasn't some monster who'd allow such a thing, at least in terms of giving his little fiefdoms another reason to rebel.

Honestly, I just want to find that Easy Street song. Googling the lyrics revealed nothing! Anyone know the song?

I was wondering that, too. Morgan's magnetism makes the character fairly intimidating, but Negan needs to be physically intimidating, kinda like Kingpin from Daredevil.
