The first movie was a massive disappointment…I tented during the Super Bowl commercial with the WH exploding, as I love alien invasion/disaster porn flicks. But the movie is cornball and flat with every dopey cliche in the book, including a dog escape scene.

Like lots of folks here, I've gotten to really like William. He's a guy with nothing much left besides snark and gallows humor. And yet that cynicism hasn't completely unmanned him, considering he was willing to do an end-around on lassa, which does indeed sound like the worst thing ever.

I didn't think the bottle quest was that bad, as it least includes some banter between Max and Chloe. Worse is the stealth sequence toward the end.

The Satellite level on GoldenEye was fooking impossible on 007 difficulty. You could shoot Trevelyan 20,000 times and he wouldn't die. Was there some way to trigger the ending where you knock Trev off the satellite, similar to how the movie ended where Sean Bean falls to his death? But I simply could not get it to go…

Fair criticisms by our brave reviewer. The not-cops and hostage takers had the same level of incompetence. An overload of idiots from outside the main cast is not what I watch Archer for.

The original's trailer is notably lousy, too. Though it was the 80s, when every plot beat wasn't spelled out in the trailer. But this new one does look unfunny at first blush.
