Now you've given the earworm to me. Thank you. :P I did like that series as a kid though. Ah, memories.

I was thinking the same thing... not replacing so much as doing a fresh pass...
"You can't just slap a US Air Force sticker on the side of a death glider, and call it yours."
Still one of the greatest last lines a character can have.
The Greatest American Hero!!! - I loved that show as a kid. So happy to see it on the picture....except now I have the song in my head.
Agreed - it would be another dark gritty reboot lacking a soul.
Y'know, the FX aren't terrible in The Last Starfighter. They're not exactly high-res, and we know it's CG... but they're not nearly as cringe inducing as say, early 2000's CGI looks now.
A great fan project would be just replacing the CGI parts with updated bits not unlike Adywan's Star Wars Revisited . The blu-ray holds up pretty well as it is, but those 80's graphics...
I mean, they blew me away when I was a kid, but now they're really bad.
What's funny is "Edge of Tomorrow" is ten times better than the original name..."All You Need is Kill".
I remember Entertainment Weekly spent years ragging on Dalton but in the Bond 50th stuff, acknowledged "he was Craig before we were ready for him."
I still cannot get enough. Brilliant!
I would love to see the "BUT HE'S IN DEPECHE MODE" scene all over again for the first time.
I agree 100%.
The movie was developed with the original light novel's title, All You Need Is Kill. That was a great name that was weird but kind of compelling. So they naturally changed it to something that sounded like a soap opera. I wonder if, when it was shown in Japan, they used the novel's name?
This! Venture bros is one of the greatest works of art I have ever known. Not very often does a show focus on masculinity and the failures associated with the transition from boy to man so amazingly. I cant say enough good things about this show, and am very pleased how many cos-players i see at comicon wearing ascots…
But I want it nnnnoooowwwww!!! I just don't get why a show like this can't get more support.
WHEN ARE THEY COMING OUT WITH MORE!?!?!? Oh, god. I want more of this show.
Groundhog Day anyone?
I just introduced my parents to this movie. First time in years Tom Cruise is playing a part and not himself. Plus it's smart, well acted and the edits are super great. I think I've even got the ending down pat now too.
Disney screwed up the ad campaign but it's a good, fun movie.
