I'll never understand your point of view. I have seen so many beautiful stunning women with men that other men don't think should be with them. I always feel like this must be a gender bias. I rarely read women constantly posting this same complaint.

David Thewlis has been on my radar since Life Is Sweet and became a bonafide force to be reckoned with ever after in Naked. Following his career is one of my great joys and watching in Fargo excites me beyond measure.

What I really think Chuck wants is for Jimmy to stop using the name McGill as a lawyer (thus demeaning his sense of pride, etc)…and that's exactly how I think this plea deal is going to get worked out—and thus, Saul Goodman is born.

Hey, PRP friend, just wanted to give you kudos for having the Best comment with 301 so far. It may not last, but wasn't it glorious?

Lauren Bacall wrote very lovingly of her in By Myself, but she and Bogart did couple things with Hepburn and Tracy. So, it wasn't all women.

Have to absolutely disagree re: James Stewart. His work with Hitchcock and then Anthony Mann were completely unlike his so-called "image" from the 30s and 40s. He was able to play such a wide range of characters, and it's sad that so many seem to forget his outstanding later work.

I realized that almost immediately after I pressed enter. Then, I thought, I guess this proves how old I am! We're practically twins; I also had stoner hippie parents and WW2 grandparents so I rocked at Name That Tune as a kid.

Name That Tune…
I am so old.

He was also really different on Amazon's Good Girl Revolt as a magazine editor.

As someone who watched the show as it aired (so briefly), it was revolutionary. I'm sure given today's lens I might find it "cheesy", but I prefer to remember how exciting it was to see something so new.

Profit! I feel like I'm alone in my love of that show. So cool to hear it mentioned.

Or maybe men relate them and women don't? It can be many things. I know way too much about them, for instance. I'd say the current general public, not so much.

I guess we slightly disagree as I feel many many more people know Elizabeth Taylor than Richard Burton. I suspect for younger generations this is even more true. Growing up in the 80s, her star shined so brightly and his, except for we cinephiles, dimmed considerably after his death.

Darn it, that article must've been old! Apologies. I stand corrected.

Umm, Brokaw called those who were children during the Great Depression and who fought in WW2 (or stayed home and took over the jobs) the Greatest generation. Their children are the Baby Boomers.

You just blew my mind. Whoa.

Becky Ann Baker is 54. Trump is 70. Hardly the same.

Very few are as beautiful as CZT, I think of Merle Oberon and Hedy Lamarr when I think of her looks. Which is to say, she's one of the few that still feels Old Hollywood to me.

Hrm, I read kobomac's response to be bitterly sarcastic. IE: The President is now the one living lavishly and putting on "airs".
I think you may be on the same side of this issue actually.

They also bristle because men aren't asked the same questions as women. Female actors want to be able to talk about their characters and films in the way that men have always been "allowed" to do so.
