But are you cunning? 😉

Oooh, that makes me all the more grateful to have this place to gush and gossip about this show. It's always one of the highlights of my week (yeah, I know), and I love reading what you have to say.
I was just coming to make sure Al Swearengen from Deadwood got mentioned!
I got a BFA in Theatre, and we were definitely trained not only to have no defined accent, but to also be able to then do accents. Thus expanding our range. I suspect she was as well, but did make a choice.
Bodega is also used in much of Los Angeles because 1. It's a spanish word 2. It refers to a pretty specific type of corner store.
I'm pretty sure that the campaign against her was why Davis lost. Everyone thought she would win at the time.
We even had Dialing For Dollars like the Janis Joplin song (written by Kris Kristopherson) where I grew up (New Mexico).
To be fair, she could have gone (she had an understudy), but chose to ensure the ticket holders got to see her that weekend.
Agreed! Makes me think of a few Page roles that Paulson could slay.
It's so exciting to recognize a hero from voice alone. I heard Holly Hunter at my Starbucks ordering and knew it was her immediately though she was darn near unrecognizable otherwise. She is so incredibly small and thin.
I wish that year had been a tie between Peck and O'Toole because those are two of the greatest performances of all time.
I couldn't agree more. I felt like this really was Lange's episode and that the Bette Davis arc was secondary. The whole show was about Joan's journey, and it ends with her for a reason. It was incredibly sad, but oh god, how petty.
She'd be great for when she was younger, but oddly enough, Judy Davis could probably do a great Katherine Hepburn.
I love that story! What amazing talents.
Agreed….and, uh, I have been watching her father since way way back. *such a crush*
I wish that was in the series because this made wayyyyy too much of an insane coincidence.
Part of why I seem to be the only one who didn't think the "he's the rapist" was necessary at all. The whole ending works without it. It's the only truly contrived plot point as well.
Didn't she say to the therapist that'd she'd had a miscarriage prior or something where he'd taken care of her? I definitely think they were already together.
She looks soooo much like her parents. Genetics are super strong and apparently inherited the singing as well.
Weird, I felt it was Kimora who kept following Jaymes around because Jaymes actually knew the words and was trying to perform while Kimora had no clue.
