Get one of those kindle tablets. There’s enough acess to wifi that you don’t really need the data, but you could always get a mobile hot spot if you changed your mind on that.

I’d really like to see a post of all the sci-fi and fantasy books that were written before the 1920s that are actually worth reading, especially authors who are much less well known, and shouldn’t be.

I really don’t think the point of the article was to abolish prison, it was about making prison sentences shorter and rarer, as opposed to the rule (which it absolutly is right now).

None of these studies have shown that they actually stop criminal activity... they could simply be redirecting it elsewhere which is not really the same thing.

That’s not really true- the NSA is not the police, and so its not their job to prevent law breakers, the NSA is invading privacy, yes, but that’s not really nessesary to prevent the majority of crimes- most crimes are crimes of oportunity. In the case of domestic violence, that is what restraining orders are for.
