Why isn’t anyone helping her???? They’re... they’re all just watching....

Not only was this the highest rated Finals since ‘98, but it was also the first Finals since ‘98 that didn’t feature the Lakers, Spurs or Heat. People loved the idea of Steph vs. LeBron (and ultimately, LeBron vs. an entire team), but I also think they loved the idea of seeing two teams they weren’t used to seeing in…
They basically ruined the show by cutting it down to half an hour, which is a damn shame. Like you said, the only good part of it now is the opening commentary (although the interview can be good too, depending on who he has on).
Frasier had plenty of likable characters, as did Cheers before it. I used to find it really annoying that everyone in my age group loved Friends but didn’t pay much attention to Frasier.
Now that Parks and Rec is done, Bob’s Burgers is easily the funniest show on network television.
Look at his feet! When he makes contact with the ball, both of his feet are off the ground. He literally jumped to swing at that pitch!
What’s interesting is that, in that moment, Costas was basically mocking Strop for turning to his religious beliefs. For all his talk about “faux outrage,” if that were a Latino commentator mocking a white ball player for expressing his Christianity on the field, you’d see some real faux outrage. The story would have…
If some modern equivalent of Joan Rivers filled in for Fallon, all of Fallon’s fans would be forced to acknowledge that he isn’t funny. So no, he’ll never have a fill in host.
Oh, I’m pretty sure they knew exactly what they were doing when they sent a black man to hoist that flag up again.
That line, coupled with Carrie Fisher’s performance, makes that one of my favorite episodes of that show.
It didn’t occur to me until after the speech was over, but for a lot of white people, this was probably the first time they ever experienced black church.
One of the most amazing things about this moment is that there’s a large percentage of white America that, for the first time ever, just experienced black church. And they got the very best of it.
“Racial imbalances do not always disfavor minorities. Just look at the NBA, where the majority of the physical labor is performed by black people, but the ownership is almost exclusively white. Wait, what was my point?”
...Wow. So now you’re denying a man his own culture and experience. Okay, never mind. You go have fun with that.
I’m not out here trying to put on a cape for Gawker or anything, but you know Tommy Craggs, the executive editor of all Gawker Media, is Asian, right?
While today is a great day, decisions like this always upset me a little bit. It was only 5-4, meaning we were one idiot changing his mind away from absolute disaster and cruelty. It’s terrifying to think that’s how our system works.
Someone attempting to jump the subway tracks, and then no one even bothering to react when he fails so spectacularly, pretty much tells you everything you need to know about New York City.
You know what’s annoying? On Monday Jessica Williams, Jon Stewart and Jordan Klepper did a fantastic bit on the absurdity of white people who pay more attention to what Jon Stewart says about racism than what actual black people say. I think it was the most important thing Williams has done since her skit on street…
Amy got in a pretty good burn on LeBron too: “We both love to travel.”
I believe Desus Nice would call this “Peak Caucasity”
