Nah, Syndergaard looked shook after that. I was watching the game. He was cruising before he hit Gomez, but that ended up being his last inning. He pretty much refused to pitch inside again after he nearly killed a guy.

I’m certain Phil didn’t even read the study. He just saw someone try to support his nonsense, and retweeted it without even considering the source or whether or not it made any sense.
I wish they’d have let it go on a little while longer, but damn, that was great.
Damn it. Now I have Chris Berman doing that god awful “Waltzing Mewelde” bit stuck in my head and I can’t get it out.
Is that Dana Stubblefield making the tackle? I forgot about Dana Stubblefield.
The “Aurora Borealis” exchange is one of the greatest comedic moments in television history. I can’t even count how many times I’ve randomly said “Aurora Borealis!”, for no fucking reason, with the same indignation Chalmers had.
The worst thing TNT ever did to Inside The NBA was give a seat to Shaq instead of Webber. When Webber is on that show, he forces Kenny and (especially) Charles to step up their game because Webber actually gives useful analysis. Shaq is only useful on TV as someone to laugh at when he falls.
She really is more attractive with every passing year. It’s insane. I loved the X-Files, but I never thought she was as stunning as everyone made her out to be (I honestly thought that talk was mostly due to pervy fan boys). But now? Good god...
I know she didn’t show up too often, but Anna Draper was fantastic. I think she deserves more love.
I don’t know why, but I was apparently the last person on earth to find out that the kid who plays Glen is Matthew Weiner’s son. That explains everything.
Damn. I didn’t know that was her thing. I’ve never seen her do an interview with anyone other than Letterman, and she doesn’t really pull that on his show.
It’s definitely an amalgam of a bunch of celebs, but I think Blake gets it the hardest.
It never occurred to me until I saw this article that I never watched even a single minute of this show. Hell, until I saw this, I didn’t even know it had been canceled.
It kills me that more people didn’t appreciate Ferguson. He was so good.
I completely forgot about Regis. Good call.
It’s mocking most late night interviews with women, but she specifically goes after Blake Lively. Not only with her fake name, but she directly quotes Blake telling David Letterman that she has a huge crush on him (to which Dave eventually responds “I’m three times your age”).
Julia Roberts was my guess for someone other than Murray, but she’s on Wednesday night. It’d be great to see Barrymore and Madonna make final appearances too, and having Sirajul and Mujibur back one last time would be fantastic.
Anyone have a decent guess as to who his final guest will be? Bill Murray seems the most obvious choice, but if it’s not him I have no idea who it would be. I thought having Jay Leno as the last guest would actually be kind of interesting (and I say that as someone who can’t stand Leno), but Ferguson did that.
Has anyone ever hit the ball as consistently hard as Stanton does? I’ve heard a few people suggest Roberto Clemente, but that’s about it. Stanton is ridiculous.
“Susan, you’ve got to get out of this apartment!”
