Monty Williams is the new Mo Cheeks. He’s clearly a bad coach, but he’ll always get a chance because he’s a really likable guy. Everything he did for Ryan Anderson, after Anderson’s girlfriend committed suicide, continues to amaze me.

Bob Marley died 34 years ago today. It’s hard to pick my favorite Marley song, but Satisfy My Soul is definitely high on the list.

Greg Hardy was suspended 10 games. His first game back? Against the Panthers. Tom Brady was suspended four games. His first game back? Against the Colts.

And fewer games than Terrelle Pryor got for getting free tattoos in college.

I know this isn’t directly related to the issue at hand, but look at that picture. Look at his face. Seriously, is there anyone cornier than Tom Brady?

This is also the same amount of games Roethlisberger was suspended for multiple rape accusations. So what Brady did is twice as bad as punching the mother of your child in the face (without video evidence), and equal to potentially attempting to rape multiple women.

There are so many people who love Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead who have never seen (or in some cases never even heard of) Spaced. I try my best to fix this whenever I can. Spaced is one of those shows where, if you’ve seen it, you feel compelled to share it with as many people as you can.

Henry: “Why are you acting like this?”

I still say Spaced is the best thing Simon Pegg has ever done. That show is criminally under appreciated.

Adventure Time is brilliant. And when you’re done catching up on it, you should check out Jack Kirby’s Kamandi comic, an amazing series that Adventure Time borrows heavily from.

That September 11 article is, by far, the best piece of writing I’ve come across on the topic. I revisit it every year on the anniversary, because every single thing Thompson said ended up being true.

The Bulls are ridiculous. In game three they had 15 more rebounds and 10 more free throws, LeBron and Kyrie both shot below 40%, and they still needed a miracle shot to win. In game four, Kyrie goes 2-11 from the field, LeBron goes 10-30, the Cavs as a team go 5-25 from three and the Bulls still somehow lose. The

Cool comment

That’s a triple play when there was no force on at any base. And it was 4-5-4. Amazing.

If it was anyone else I’d agree with you, but that was just Rose being himself. He almost never gets emotional on or off the court. He’s just a quiet, stoic kid.

One thing: Simmons didn’t get suspended because of what he said about Goodell. He got suspended because after saying those things, he dared ESPN to suspend him. Nothing Simmons said was even close to what Olbermann has said about Goodell, but Olbermann never got in trouble because he didn’t follow any of his rants

What are you guys reading, or what have you read recently, that you really enjoyed? Books, comics, articles, etc.

When I found out he was having Diana Taurasi on his basketball show last night, my first thought was “Wow. This guy spent years saying completely fucked up things about the WNBA, and female athletes in general, and now he gets to sit down and chill with the WNBA’s greatest player? There is no justice in the world.”

Tatiana Maslany has been doing the best acting job on television for three years now, and if we’re being honest, one of the best TV has ever seen. She’s so good, playing five completely different people, that you almost don’t even notice that this is not a very well written show. Great concept, phenomenal lead actor,

Okay, let’s say there was a woman at the game last night who at one point was a victim of domestic violence — and statistically speaking, there were almost certainly multiple women there who have been — and she saw that and was made uncomfortable or was offended. Would you feel comfortable saying to her what you just
