15 years with me, and 28 years with my father before that. This one is definitely my forever car.

By far, the GT3 Touring.

“Aber...I waz just following ze orders!” -some German, circa 1945-6

While I wholly agree with you on abolishing Civil Asset Forfeiture, this actually isn’t it.

He plead guilty and admitted to buying homes and other assets with the proceeds of illegal drug sales.

Yes, it’s dumb that weed isn’t federally legal. Yes, civil asset forfeiture is ridiculous. Yes, 40 years is an insane amount of time for this crime. No, this guy shouldn’t get away with no repercussions after breaking

We’re not talking about a dude losing his transportation to work because of a joint in his cup holder here.   This is a bit different.   If the Feds can prove that the cars were bought with the proceeds of illegal activity there’s nothing anyone can do.

Such a shame. He should have created another opioid derivative and sold it through doctors. That's a okay.

If someone representing Black Lives Matter was hauling a similar piece of shit from state to state for years, they would have been stopped by the police four thousand times and be comprised entirely of lead.

Wait you mean they didn’t try thoughts and prayers first? Cowards.

Wait, you mean people can be murdered in cold blood and you can actually... enact policy changes to do something about it?! GET. OUT. I’ve been told this is TYRANNY and that the deaths of our friends and children are just the price of freedom!

“But gun control is impossible! There are too many guns in the country! You won’t save any lives!” It’s almost like burying your head in the sand ignores the empiric evidence right in front of our faces:

People in general don’t actually give a shit about consistency. They care about the application of power. The quicker we learn this, the less time we can spend fruitlessly fixating on these sorts of “gotchas” which yield exactly zero traction for us. Pointing out hypocrisy is not a viable political strategy.

Tangible action and not just thoughts and prayers? Good luck with that, amateurs.

If you can add a ‘sin tax onto liquor and cigs, why not guns? Isnt killing a sin?

I’d just like to point out if someone tried to pass a law requiring everyone to buy something like a compost bin conservatives would completely lose their shit.

America: We could have saved it but were too damn cheap and too damn stupid.

Ah, you must have deleted your Facebook account before 2007 then.

If you say something as radical as “maybe the ultra wealthy shouldn’t be allowed to do literally everything they want with no repercussions” you’re branded a socialist.

I know this is my curmudgeony, haven’t-moved-my-bowels-since-I-was-12 philosophy major side speaking, but I for one have to say that the entire issue of “capitalism” or “socialism” is entirely beside the point. No champion of “capitalism” today, Liz Warren aside, would know what capitalism does if a copy of The Wealth

In America, anyone politically left of Sauron is considered a radical Marxist
