@lilydancing: Having recently started menstruating again after a 13-year hiatus, I totally feel what Sarah Silverman is saying. But, then again, I'm basically a 13-year-old girl all over again.

@StarControl: Every job I've ever worked has had annual pay increases. There is typically a "starting" salary or wage for the job, and annually the employees receive merit-based or cost-of-living based increases. People who have been there longest receive the highest pay for equal work. This is not discrimination, I'm

@PortableGoogle, @AndresMN, @beanecojoe: Yeah, it does make sense for someplace where you need a high level of decontamination and people will generally be covered head-to-toe-to-fingertip, like an OR.

@Falafelcakes: Not crossed until you can replicate human faces believably. Our brains may be fooled by fruit, but millions of years of evolution has made us astoundingly good at spotting tiny details of facial movements.

@Branden Kerr: Maybe he's referring to his buddy, Brian.

@iphone_myphone: Heh. A long ass time ago. I think I had to watch it in 1993.

@AndresMN: Except that antibacterial soap is largely ineffective, unless you leave it on for about 10 minutes, which nobody ever does. Also, you don't generally wash your entire body multiple times a day in the stuff, while this light would impact the every exposed surface of your skin. A healthcare worker in a

@AndresMN: But what about the beneficial bacteria on top of our skin? They help dissuade unfriendly bacteria from colonizing. If we kill them we run the risk of increased pathogenic bacterial colonization.

@TeeJayDM: I had to watch this in high school!

Is nobody worried about the friendly bacteria that live all over and inside of us? Human bodies have more bacterial cells than human cells, and they help us live.

@HallaEks: I can't say for sure about rats (though I've heard some nasty stories), but the rabbit problem in Chicago is massive. In just a couple of years rabbits went from an occasional sighting to a nuisance to a plague. You can't hardly walk through a yard without kicking a couple of bunnies. Part of the problem is

My pooch comes into the bedroom when we're having sexytimes there, lies on her bed and sighs deeply. Like "oh, here we go again."

@Ricochet Ruth: My dog only examines me when I've been around another dog. She'll even jump up to try and sniff my back and shoulders, it's cute.

@Dialogue_Dub: I see what you're saying, especially WRT David Bowie, who is an obvious influence of Monae's. She's still young, and just really getting her career started. I bet she'll diversify a bit with time, but for now she should get a little slack to explore whichever persona she's affecting. I'd rather see her

@amycee: That sucks. When I saw her in Seattle a couple weeks ago she didn't interact with the crowd much but she was definitely smiling and seemed to be having a great time. Bad night, maybe?

I got to see Janelle here in Seattle a couple weeks ago. She put on a hell of a show, especially considering she was just the opening act. Can't wait to see her again as the headliner!

We use snapware containers in the lab, they're great and really watertight. When I needed some glass containers for staining certain types of gels I bought some Pyrex dishes with rubber lids, I don't like them nearly as much. Looks like I'll be picking up some glass snapware to replace them. w00t!

@CarolynJane: I heard she's turning tricks down by the old quarry.
