@hambone & @1979semifinalist: Great points. It's like he's doing a superficial 180, and taking the course he thinks is the opposite, when really he's still operating on looks and perceptions, rather than making an intelligent choice to find someone he can really be himself with, not just someone he thinks he might be

This is probably going to sound stupid, but I really like that for once Don is marrying brunette he likes to screw rather than the blonde he thinks he should marry. I always saw his relationship with Faye (and that young girl, whats-her-name) as searching for Betty #2, the person he pictures as his wife, rather than

When that milkshake spilled, not only was Don's reaction to Megan priceless, the kids' reactions were even better.

@acidalys: You can buy them at Sock Dreams:

I actually own the button-up leg warmers. I did *not* buy them from this catalog. I also don't wear them with stilettos.

@Hotpants McGee: That sucks. The American healthcare system is so backwards, it makes me want to cry.

@CharlesOryx: Find a decent doctor or go to Planned Parenthood. Never having been pregnant isn't a hard contraindication for an IUD (Mirena included), it's up to the doctor doing the procedure to decide if you should have it. My old doc said she wouldn't do it, my new doc was more than happy, and has done it thousands

@TheVeganChick: Health insurance companies seem to be heading in a more pro-IUD direction. I waited years to get one because I kept having insurance companies that wouldn't cover it. My current insurer covered it completely, I just had it put in about a month ago. It's cheaper for them in the long run, since they're

@Hotpants McGee: My last couple of insurance companies have had "preventative care" visits be covered at a different rate than sick visits. As long as I was sure my doc billed my annual pap and exam as preventative, I didn't have to pay a dime, not even a copay. Maybe ask if your insurance has something similar?

@crackers in bed: Wow. When I was growing up you were considered slutty if you started wearing a bra before 8th grade. In 6th grade I'd wear like 4 layers so people wouldn't know I had a bra on.

I nearly started having an anxiety attack just reading this. Me and pot do not get along.

You and I have similar sensibilities, Joel. I also tend to obsess over some minor missing "thing" in need of a solution/replacement. I, too, bought the Contigo mug last year for dreary Pacific Northwest weather. I, too, fucking love the thing. One of the rare times I've found a solution to a perceived problem and not

@kkatt: His response to it was just as good. I was worried he'd bark at her or be a dick. (No pun intended.)

@BytheSea: My cousin's daughters (aged 8 and 5) are both pink glitter bomb kind of girls, but at least one of them (the elder) is starting to lean pretty tech-heavy, like her dad. She's taken an interest in photography and videos, she records absolutely everything in front of her, and she tends towards more mechanical

My parents kept me interested in science my whole life by encouraging me to explore everything in my environment. I remember from a very young age my dad asking me questions to get me curious about how things worked. He was always willing to show me something he was working on and explain what he was doing. My parents

"An entirely different form factor?" So, it won't be some kind of touch-sensitive slate? It'll be, I dunno, a sphere? A cube? (Oh not, definitely not a cube.) How different can you get?

@Channan: What's mindblowing to me is the distance between the electron cloud and the nucleus of the atom.
