I truly do not understand what point this dude was trying to make and I’m not sure he does either.

It’s a “demo” in the same way a lot of smaller SE games have gotten demos over the last few years - which is to say it’s literally just the beginning of the retail version chopped into a separate download.
That’s a bummer, but I gotta respect the commitment to doing this right. If you’re going to try and recreate Ito’s style in motion you can’t half ass it.
This rules
For those curious about the original, the PS4 rerelease is literally $4.97 on the PS Store right now.
How long has it been since you played the original? The fate ghost stuff in Remake is definitely a step farther but the original story wasn’t exactly NOT gibberish at times.
It’s almost like the first game slowed the pacing way down because the Midgar section had a ton of unused potential (and let’s be honest, having the first part be in one city helped keep production simpler), and from here they’ll simply pick up the pace a bit. I’m not sure why some people think 50 hours in Midgar…
Can’t believe this and the FF7 livestream were scheduled at the exact same time and both brought the goods. Kinda miss E3 when there was at least some structure and pacing lol.
Considering the “Reunion” subtitle (Remake, Rebirth, Reunion, etc) and its release timing, I’m thinking it’ll at the very least have some hints towards Rebirth added to it.
So if I’m understanding this right, there are more self contained levels (zones) but instead of choosing them from a world map you move seamlessly between them through a larger area that connects them? Because yeah uh... that’s an open world game, just one that sounds a little more structured/segmented than something…
There actually aren’t any nipples in the Fire Emblem universe, it’s in the lore.
It’s been three and a half years since MP4 was restarted, am I crazy to think we might actually see something this year?
Lol this was my exact reaction. Like, if they have a whole bunch of cool and interesting stuff in there and it’s coming out within 6 months, maybe it’s time to show people?
Oops!
This continues to look wonderful.
Can’t believe I have to spend another full year on this earth before I can play this.
Yes, but they’re not wrong.
I didn’t realize it watching the trailer but yeah, both of those dudes absolutely turn into motorcycles - the scarlet one is a road hog and the violet one is a hover bike. This immediately makes me like them a lot more.
It’s wild to think VII-XI all came out within a year of each other, obviously there’s a lot of reasons why that wasn’t sustainable but it feels like a completely different industry now.
“Imagine Limsa Lomensa from FFXIV, but totally empty.”
