This is extremely bleak!
This is extremely bleak!
It’s literally why corporations exist. Any good thing they happen to produce is only in service of making more money.
Love the implication that there’s some anti-nft shadow organization paying off journalists on video game blogs from behind the scenes.
I can’t believe so many massive companies run by people who make stupid amounts of money could be wrong! Surely they should be the most capable among us? How else could they have made their fortunes??
He stopped being a character designer after VI, from VII on Square just commissioned him to do some art for each game for marketing/artbook pieces. Which is to say that his VII art isn’t actual concept art, just commissions based on Nomura’s existing designs.
At lot of people seem to think complete strangers should never publicly talk about anything that person hasn’t personally experienced, forever. Spoiler culture is wild.
Pretty cool* how every one of these kinds of statements includes the phrase “if it makes sense” without acknowledging the reality that it will never make sense.
I hadn’t thought of that but it would make sense. The third personality has been handled so weird though, after multiple heavy-handed “hints” we have the perfect episode to reveal him, and instead it doesn’t come up at all? Why even include that third sarcophagus last episode if the boys weren’t going to even…
I was thinking about this basically the whole episode after that scene, and the only thing that makes sense is Steven originally did not have full perception of his surroundings. So anytime his mom was abusive, Marc called in Steven who just blissfully coasted through it, unable to perceive what was truly happening.
This physically killed me, thanks Sega.
This was only the second FromSoft game I’ve ever played (after Sekiro) and I had no trouble finding the tutorial. Maybe the Souls games were just meaner and it has everyone on edge, but there’s nothing even remotely as player aggressive in Elden Ring as “fake tutorial that kills you.” Hard to believe so many people…
I’m sure how to say this but not every video game website needs to cover every topic you find interesting every single day, especially ones like Kotaku that have an incredibly small staff to begin with. There are so many game sites out there, I’m sure you can find coverage elsewhere if you want. It’s fine if this one…
Wait what does Kojima have to do with anything?
My kingdom for people to actually glance at credits and learn that Nomura doesn’t write games. I wonder if Kazushige Nojima knows how much heat from his work gets thrown at Nomura on the daily.
At this point I gotta assume it’s YoshiP using his Board of Directors powers to hold back the Flood of Bad Ideas basically every single day.
Just want to give a huge shoutout to CrossCode, which is an excellent, beautiful ARPG that captures the feel of the MMO Ideal without actually having to interact with any real people. One of the most “alive” game worlds I’ve ever seen, and it’s in a pixel art game.
I have no interest in this but I do think the visual of hundreds of raptors pouring out of the sky and swarming like giant ants is *extremely* funny. A+ job on that specific aspect.
Watching that trailer again, I’m remembering just how excited for XVI I am. The music alone is enough to get me going, and I’m really feeling the darker vibe for whatever reason. Really hoping to learn more tomorrow but I’m keeping expectations low.
I’m not spiritually ready for Dexit 2: The Edge of Reason
Happy for all the SoulsGuys who will be permanently transitioning into RingsGuys over the next few months.
