I was just about to say - I decided to grab Legacy of the Duelist ~Link Evolution~ for $15 a few weeks ag0 instead of Master Duel, and it sounds like I definitely made the right choice. As someone who isn’t very competitive, the massive amount of single player content in LotD is excellent, especially being able to use

OG penishead Palkia for sure, centaur Palkia... to be honest I’m kinda into it lol. Gotta see it in game but the design isn’t terrible! It seems to be mimicking Arceus a bit, for what’s sure to be some very weird plot reason.

Most pokemon leaks look bad because it’s just the raw models doing the equivalent of a t-pose. They *usually* look better in motion, where you can get of sense of their personality and whatnot.

Professional Bickering

Ah yes, microtransactions and lootboxes, two things gamers famously came around to loving and definitely never started any lawsuits over. A great lane to be in for sure, no lessons here that need learning.

Not super surprised to hear this after seeing the trailers. I really want to like this game, but the writing and motion capture have just been so weirdly off in every trailer, way below the level you’d expect from a AAA Square Enix RPG. Some big “I watched all the Marvel movies" vibes going on. Hopefully the final

It’s going to be exactly the same as every Zelda title - either extremely vague (Link’s Awakening, BotW), or so specific it’ll mean nothing until you actually play the game (basically all the ones named after objects).

Not only is it a big priority, but Yoshida has written multiple detailed posts about why it's not resolved (spoilers, the semiconductor shortage that's been wrecking all hardware production for the last two years is still doing that).

Initially I was bummed about the delay since I’ll be out of town this weekend and won’t be able to start playing till Sunday night, but it’s starting to seem like that was a blessing in disguise. Hopefully that means I’ll have a (slightly (very slightly?)) smoother experience when I jump in.

We gotta start teaching “it’s okay to not say anything if you have nothing of value to say” in schools or something.

lmao

Time, energy, and motivation. Doing anything in New Horizons takes quite a bit of those.

Well maybe, I guess it’s hard to tell what exactly is going on in the mind of a crypto-scammer. Still feels pretty bleak all around though.

Imagine being so untethered you spend your own time and energy hacking a youtube channel... just to promote a billionaire. Bleak stuff.

If I’ve only ever had vanilla coke then yes, that is actually a helpful description. Especially if, in this hypothetical reality, vanilla coke is significantly more popular than regular coke amongst the general public.

I understand why this happened considering the existing items in the game, but it’s still extremely funny to me that the recipe is just “dump some weeds on it.” Exactly what the sea bass deserves.

Yeah I definitely appreciate having a view into a massive part of the gaming world I’m unfamiliar with, even if it’s a part I personally have no real interest in playing.

Nothing more humbling than finding out a game you’ve never heard of is the most popular game in the world (I mean that sincerely).

I’m already liking Slightly Goofier Faye, I’m glad they’re doing their own thing. So much of what made the anime what it was feels like it’d be nearly impossible to translate to live action anyway. There’s a kind of stillness and atmosphere that isn’t really possible with real people.

This doesn’t really look like Cowboy Bebop The Anime, which is fine because nothing live action could ever look like Cowboy Bebop The Anime. If this ends up being a fun, solid show with extremely good music, I’ll be satisfied.
