I have huge social anxiety, absolutely zero interest in multiplayer games, and I’ve put hundreds of hours into FFXIV. There’s two main reasons for this: 1) basic group content can be joined through an automatic party-formation tool that makes finding people to play with effortless and communication free, and 2) the

Absolutely incredible how many dudes willingly turn themselves into the living embodiment of a “YOU WOULDN’T DOWNLOAD A CAR” ad the second Kotaku, specifically, suggests there are some positive sides to piracy. Where was all this vitriol during the last two decades of discussion on this point?

Kraid was literally shown in trailers, released by Nintendo, in order to convince people to buy the game. He was not a secret or a surprise by their standards.

Maybe interesting fact: the new chorus melody she added to “Simple and Clean” is also used in the song “Uso Mitai na I Love You, from the same album “Hikari” appears on. Every time I hear it I can’t help but mumble “when you walk away...”

Like Mike said, this is perfectly fine and I’ll never understand how “open world” became synonymous with “good.” The world design should be whatever works best with the gameplay, and Pokemonster Hunter sounds great.

Think of it this way: this is possibly the Smash Bros character ever (at least under Sakurai, that man needs to rest for a few decades), and Sora was the most requested character. There’s really no better choice, and I really appreciate them going out of their way to make this one final thing happen for the fans, even

I mean, yeah? I’m sure getting Sora alone was a massive undertaking, I can’t imagine how much money it would have taken to get actual Disney characters in here. I’m actually impressed they got Mickey’s keychain.

Buddy, he said they didn’t expect people to make fun of the game and they weren’t particularly happy that it happened. That means they expected it to be taken seriously! It doesn’t matter who’s in charge of what, the reality is basically every scene in both demos is hilariously poorly written, acted, and directed, and

?? Both demos, as well as the trailers, have scenes with very silly dialogue, and the director said they were surprised that people found them silly. That’s not great! Cheese needs self-awareness to flourish.

Despite all the meming about the “emo boy band” or whatever, XV was actually fairly breezy for its first two thirds. There was definitely a sense of fun and adventure to it, even if the background stakes were high.

The fact that they both failed to anticipate the memes and were also bothered by them seems like a real bad sign for this game. The only way this can work is if they lean into the cheese, but this makes it sound like the bullshit/buttrock scene was supposed to be 100% serious. Which, uh oh!

My favorite part of this super weird comment is the implication that Americans never threaten to sue for frivolous/selfish reasons. The American legal system - famous for its lack of self-serving absurdity!

I think you completely misinterpreted the beginning of this review, he hasn’t actually reached the end yet.

Norse gods weren’t anything, because they aren’t real.

Personally I’d much rather them iterate on the excellent base they started with and get the game out relatively quickly, then spend extra years reinventing the wheel when they don’t need to.

Gonna be that guy’s that guy and point out that she’s actually Beelzebul.

I’ll truly never understand the hate for Klefki. It’s a cute little guy who steals keys because it likes the shinies or whatever, what more could you want? And how is it any different than say Magnemite, another little floaty metal guy with inanimate objects attached (who also rules)?

Yeah my read on this is that we have someone trying everything they can think of to get noticed, then ending up way over their head with nothing worth showing. Probably should have finished the game before going all in on marketing tricks.

They do! It’s called creative mode or something, removes all resource costs I think.
