Black lips. Veni vedi vici
I almost posted the same exact video. It’s a great acoustic version. It must have been one heck of a jam session because youtube has these clips on top of the playlists. This one is the acoustic of Interstate Love Song. I love this song and the guitar. I dowloaded an audio version of this years ago with better…
Oh, and because I dig them, and saw them over the summer, the bassist is now playing in The Cave Singers:
Since many are paying tribute to Mr. Weiland and posting great stuff, I will go another route. Some don’t care for the operatic and soaring vocals, but this song hits the spot for those tormented by their demons.
Procol Harum, Salty Dog.
Since moving to Seattle my MCD intake has increased tenfold, which I didn’t think was possible, since they’re in pretty constant rotation. But this song is pretty much everything I love about them in one song:
Crack the Sky with Sea Epic.
Apropos of nothing and no one. Just going through my brain.
Didn’t even know Scott Weiland was in town yesterday. If I had, I might have passed on the Wild game.
Murder City Devils-Press Gang.
My Morning Jacket with Touch me I’m going to Scream, Pt. 1
Here is my favorite Scott Weiland song. There’s a violin and a cello. There is festive piano playing, and above all, there are Weiland’s vocals. Join the circus with me, won’t you? “Lady, Your Roof Brings Me Down”:
This is pure.
It seems like “Sour Girl” is a lot of people’s favorite STP song.
RIP Scott Weiland
Thank God I’m on the GI Bill, otherwise there’s no way in hell I’d even get by. Thankfully, my apartment rent is barely going up next year, but even so, I just hate when colleges are in the throes of a construction binge. Mississippi State had a smaller one when I was there, and it just fucked shit up.
I remember talking to a friend who was backstage for their tour with Red Hot Chilli Peppers in 2000. He said Weiland had a guy he paid to follow him around 24/7 to make sure he stayed clean. It’s unfortunate that you can realize your addiction is that serious and yet can’t manage to stop it. I can’t even imagine how…
I agree. I’m a Rams fan and I’m perpetually crushed aside from 99-02, and all I could think was “at least I don’t root for the Browns.”
What would be the running time of a comprehensive video of every Browns screwup?
