Gotta give props to dude for having the balls to call u up and open a dialogue.

So long to all the grizzled vets of Deadspin and the comments.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.... It’s been a great ride with all of you, may we find another place as engaging, intelligent, irreverent, and amusing as our home here on Deadspin.

It’s been a long time, without you my friend. And I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again.

This Bear Friday is the Deadspin equivalent of a viking funeral. Farewell everyone.

10 year Deadspin faithful - never made it out of the greys, but I want to say thank you. To all of you. This site has brought me so much joy and laughter through a lot of crummy times in life. Hate that it has to end like this, but the writers, commentariat, and contributors to this site have left their mark on this

I’ll miss you, deadspin.  Bye to all G/O properties.

I went as Deadspin sticking to sports, a/k/a dead deadspin, at work for Halloween yesterday. I don’t work in sports or journalism, yet so many co-workers got the costume and we all mourned the loss. Related: the sports didn’t actually stick to the dress.

Obligatory reminder that Jim Spanfeller is a moronic shitheel and also a herb.

Sticking to sports. Thanks for everything. and thanks George Carlin.

This reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes. The day something great and important and loved just left us out of nowhere. It’s stupid and I don’t like it and I will genuinely miss this website.

Over the past 10 years of my career, I’ve worked some pretty miserable jobs. Sure, I was sitting on my ass in an office, but often for far longer than anyone should and under bosses that seemed almost gleeful at the prospect of grinding decent people into dust. This website was one of the few things that made that

Transactions, Nov. 1

This the final Deadspin transaction before relegation. As the last editor left with access to our work systems, I’m

A steady part of my daily routine, I’m going to miss this place - writers and commenters both. Here’s to you all.

I have literally never posted in the comments section before on this website and I regret it. This blog transformed me in ways I never thought possible, and I am deeply saddened by everything that’s happened over the last few months.

Don’t forget: Deadspin isn’t a place, it’s a people.

We’ve lost some people along the way, but I wanna say thanks to the Kotaku staff for all the work they’ve done before I lose that chance. It seems like, at any moment, management could come on down and shake things up for the worse and it’ll be gone in a flash.  Andy Dalton deserved better.
