I think Deadspin’s strategy of completely ignoring the US soccer leagues except to say they are bullshit is pretty sound. Plenty of good soccer available without needing to concern yourself with a joke.
Ahhh Arsenal, the fanbase that just can’t shut the fuck up
Seriously, I was so young, I thought intangibles were important!
cool
If it’s on Deadspin, den you otter not question it
You’re poutine me on!
This is teetering dangerously close to math
Yeah, the more and more I think about it, it makes sense, but I always thought those were just called elimination games. I’m mostly confused because I don’t think I’d ever heard/seen a game like this referred to as such. But again, makes sense.

This is awesome stuff, thanks.
This article isn’t about what the person’s name is, it’s about the reactions journalists had to an act of reporting. Also, there’s a direct link to the article that reveals the name.
...and people have sought to discover the true identities of people with those pseudonyms for centuries. Understanding the heritage/upbringing of an artist is often a large part (as HamNo points out) of later criticism/theory/study of the work of that person.
Ugh, what a shit postseason. The miracle Rockies making it all the way to the series only to get demolished by fucking Boston, with every ad break punctuated with these.
Boston fans and Harvard grads - they never miss a chance
