As a tax lawyer, I cringe every time a non-professional attempts to talk tax. It’s bad even when major outlets like the New York Times or Wall Street Journal do it. It’s even worse when a car blog does it.

Need more stars. The tax code in the US is designed for one thing. Protecting the big fish.

It’s a bad sign when the writer can’t make it through the headline without giving away the fact they don’t understand the subject they’re writing about.

You’re not kidding, ha. I had a couple of “grey” doozies splattered in my replies.

The city where the shipyard is located decided they like tax revenue and local employment more than they like not temporarily dismantling part of a bridge. That’s the entire story. But, rich people are evil, so everything they touch is tainted.

So I guess you are the one that decides none of the blue collar workers / trades people making boats, expensive cars, planes should have jobs anymore because you think no one should be able to afford these things? Nice of you. Would love to hear your economic plan.

This project has employed hundreds of people in the hard hit marine sector and will continue to employee lots of people for the substantial on-going maintenance that will be required.
