Right...because no other bystander has ever been killed by someone else in a car that was not paying attention.  Damn you Musk for unleashing this new hell on us!

As crazy as that looks, if you walk up and down the line and talk to owners waiting, I bet not one of them will tell you they regret their purchase. I drove from Portland to Seattle on Thanksgiving and charged in Centralia for about 30 min. It’s not THAT big a deal, it’s something I understand and expect, and I’m

Most supercharger have 1 stall that allows for pulling in forward in case you are towing.

Even if it ships in 2027, it will still be before all the other EV trucks from the big manufactures that have been supposedly right around the corner forever.

You are exactly right. NO ONE is surprised by AP. It’s such a foreign feeling in a car that you don’t ever hop in and use it completely unaware. The first time you use it, your hands hover 1 inch from the steering wheel while you say OMG OMG OMG this is so cool. You learn from it. You see how it reacts when you drive

So, just like the center ring in the Mini then?

1st gear:

Maybe it impacts the S sales but if you want a bigger EV, nothing beats the X.

I think Tesla would have preferred to keep a little more focus on S and X development but the world put so much emphasis on ramping the 3 that it was not possible. I think that now that the 3 is hitting its stride and refreshes are coming for their premier cars, gross profits will return to the rates previously.

Will the nav in the Porsche direct you to the chargers?  Do you know if Porsche can do over the air updates or push updated nav data?

Right.  I get that.  It just seems like that would concentrate a lot of force in just one area.

Can you really just pick up a car from the rims like that?  And dang, I want those rims on my X.

Good article. The only thing I would add is to place more emphasis on the need to be able to charge at home. In my opinion, if you can’t reliably charge your car at home, chances are high that an EV is not right for you. My experience with public charging infrastructure is that it’s a crapshoot that you will be able

And it really isn’t a “positive” article. I’d say neutral.  They just simply report a fact and restrained themselves from adding snide remarks like it’s about time or something like that.

Really?? You can’t see the bias?? Any real car enthusiast would be all over these track times and be excited to see that lap video at Laguna Seca but not Jalopnik. They just have to piss all over anything that Tesla does. I’m dumbfounded at the amount of hate an American car company gets from an automotive website.

I agree 100%.  People who complain about the system have never tried it.  I find it much easier to drive long distances with AP.  I rest my hand on the steering wheel so that I can always feel what it is doing and it allows me to focus on the world outside of the car.

I agree with the article but would point out that T-Sportline is FAR from the cheapest source of aftermarket accessories so its not like everyone needs to shell out $2600+ for normal rims/tires.  You can also usually offset the cost by selling the bigger ones.

Um, isn’t charging an EV overnight the number one most basic use case? Did it really require two separate studies to confirm that people that have the ability to charge overnight at home will do it?

Batteries not included.

Awesome. And to keep this low price on the publics mind, Jalopnik will write article after article immediately after its released moaning and complaining about how no one has gotten a C8 for $59,995 just as they did/do for the $35k Tesla right?  Seriously, who buys the bare bones base model of any car let alone an
