Not even engineers would ever say this in conversation, so I just had to.
0° Fahrenheit: Very cold
A brand new car doesn’t need trips to the service department? Is that an achievement for LR?
I work in one of those service departments and tbe Defenders aren’t coming in much at all since the first run of 110s in the Summer/Fall of 2020. And almost all of those issues were software bugs.
Fahrenheit, as an UOM for temperature is just dumb.
The 110 is only 7 inches longer than your LR4. Big, but not a long as, say, the new Ford Maveric, and it is a foot shorter than a Chevy Tahoe. The 90 is actually quite small. Nearly a foot shorter than your LR4.
My perception has been the opposite. I’ve seen a few out in the wild now, and I think it looks a lot better in person than in the pictures.
“which in both cases you will visit alot.”
FTFY.
if you’re gonna be there anyway, you might as well be comfortable :)
I like this vehicle in theory quite a bit. That v6 and the towing numbers kick ass for the segment and are real pluses. I saw a new 110 coming home from the mountains on Saturday and in person i think it looks very good/purposeful.

Toyota also started verifying all the way down the supply chain, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Tier suppliers to ensure they had backups.
“Just-in-time delivery” is part if “the Toyota way” that nearly every manufacturer has adopted. The cost of warehousing components indeed far outweighs the cost of just-in-time.
I saw a video that addressed this recently. That is the problem with JIT production if you follow it absolutely strictly without proper buffers for critical parts.
Hard hats are on construction sites because someone overhead can drop something, like a hammer or a bolt. No one should be working overhead in a factory.
No. The only requirements are to stay away from the red marked areas. Also, engineers are supposed to wear high visibility jackets since we move around so much. Otherwise, just wear whatever is comfy that allows you to walk/stand all day.
My guess is nothing is ever above their heads (probably on purpose), and if it is, it’s in select areas.
Are they actually shipping them to dealer lots, or just to some huge parking lot until the brains can be installed?
