I’d clic....wait.

Yep. If you wrench enough, you’re gonna screw up.

Those little lithium ion jump packs are an absolute revelation.

You’re not a real mechanic until you’ve done this at least once, and hopefully only once. It’s one of those pain memories that will have you double checking the three connections before you connect the fourth. Ask me how I know...

I seem to have misplaced my charging cable for my jump pack...

And yeah, XJs prices have risen, especially for examples in this good of shape. Granted, my salvage title hurts value a bit, which is why I’m not asking what people are getting on BaT, but man is it a nice Jeep. There’s a chance I’ll just keep it tbh.

Feels stupid yes, but certain things about cars just seem to be stuck in an ancient age - I can’t understand why there is no better standard for car batteries, for example. Something like a domestic electrical plug you use where things cannot go wrong. But no, cars don’t seem to be engineered like computers for

I have...concerns.

I have no shame.

Just don't do this on the electric build.

Correct, they normally don’t, but everyone makes mistakes. At least Tracy owns his publicly which is more than be said for 99% of people. Lord knows I’m not about to write articles about the stupid (expensive) mistakes I’ve made.

The PCM didn't have a fuse, or any kind of reverse current protection? I feel like "plug in battery backwards" is a failure mode most products would account for, even cars

I never saw any of those in Hawaii, but I did see one outside of this Willys restorer in Cazadero, I was surprised to see this place when I was driving this way. All I know is, if you want a nice Willys, go see these guys.

NAPA.

Vodka in the back room stashed near the Hudson parts; hardly anyone goes there....

Depending on how old the store is he may actually have everything for it. Our local parts store here was open in the 60s and had all the brake hardware for the CJ3A. I even used a Jeep master cylinder for the Model A Speedster when I converted it to juice brakes, and it looked a lot like what he has on the FC.

The Jeep FC is a really special vehicle. I would definitely stop what I’m doing and ogle it!

Not the reaction I was expecting.

my vote goes for that clerk being high/stoned.
