Looks like fun! I’m shocked the GX was too wide. It’s 74 inches to a JK 73.7. It looks like you have about 2 inches of offset in the track which makes it a touch wider, but I can’t believe it was that tight. I always thought the GX was really tidy. Great turning circle though, right?
Still loading the “You don’t have to be straight, but you’re headlights need to” page after every video I watch.
They’re fixing it now.
Good pics and vids, Rory. Looks like fun, nice Lexus.
Could you please, please, please turn off the auto-play for embedded videos? If I don’t pause it quickly enough at the end of the video, it automatically brings me away from the article and to the page for whatever the next video that is queued up, which is very frustrating.
If you’re parked right-side to curb (like you’d do in the US & other LHD countries), its a pain.
It always takes my brain a second to adjust when I see a GX 470 doing actual off-road duty. Intellectually, I know they’re built for it, but I have been conditioned to seeing them doing mall parking lot duties for so long, it’s weird seeing one out in the wild.
How have I never seen the rear door of a GX open that way? I can’t tell if it’s more or less convenient, but it sure looks crazy.
hmm, is that Romex randomly draped across the cockpit? Probably had to hotwire the ejection seats. Hope they don’t get pulled since it doesn’t appear to have a canopy.
In 1972 he went to prison in Michigan for forging license plates and registrations.
This is dope af and I want it but my God I can’t imagine driving it anywhere but an abandoned highway.
I’d love to see Jay Leno buy this and do something with it.
Just looking at this gives me the heebie jeebies. I think I need an antibiotic shot.
Wonder how many times this has taken the trip to Burning Man
He must have known the long arm of the law would eventually catch up with him. That’s why he prepped this rig to deal with said coppers by mounting machine gun turrets and sidewinder missiles.
