Coal is rapidly not becoming a thing, which is one of the reasons that West Virginia is in such bad shape. Coal’s marketshare is cratering, and their coal is losing out to other coal at that. 

In fairness, I live in the DC area, and this is one of the few places you do see a decent amount of 500s. There are some very dedicated owners here at that!

Mini has proven there is a market for small cars here. I do wonder if the 500 was a tad too small (at least in length). But also, Fiat’s reliability reputation speaks for itself.

It’s straight-up illegal. You must yield to pedestrians in crosswalks — as in stopping your car. In particular, if this were a kid, you can’t predict that they won’t suddenly speed up. The purpose of yielding is that you don’t have to deal with the what ifs.

I love how this is spun as an innovation when it’s almost assuredly just the software f-ing up and not even seeing the person. There is no way that the car is intentionally breaking the law and almost hitting someone.
