I have actually seen a few Slingshots in the DC area, and I suspect they are not rentals. To my eye, they look like a hoonage mobile for middle-aged dudes who aren’t willing to ride motorcycles.

You might be right, but god, I hope not. The lower center of gravity with tauter suspensions is what makes sedans and coupes more fun to drive (and less motion sickness-inducing).

The concussion probably made him forget where he was.

A lot of gun owners are f-ing idiots. You see it time and time again with mass shootings. The parents know their kid is messed up. They have a bunch of guns around anyway (or even buy the kid guns!).

For me, charging speed is more important than overall battery capacity. It’s the same with smart watches and other devices. Being able to charge quickly is a game changer.

How often are you driving 150 miles in one sitting? For me, that’s like twice a year. If my parents didn’t live a few states away, the answer would be zero.

Spending 90k on a Dodge Challenger has to be the ultimate chef’s kiss.

Yes, but, if you read the article, automakers have killed lots of lower priced models. It’s not just a question of auto makers pushing higher trims, they have straight up gotten rid of their lower priced models

Back in my day we had a better class of rich person, either driving a magnificent luxury sedan or a sports car like a 911. Now we have people spending 80k on a Tahoe that drives like a fancy U-Haul and that has such poor forward viability that every child or rock within a 10-foot radius is in imminent danger.

Americans are both beefy and lazy. That is why.

This is the most American comment ever.

I’d consider buying the new Type R. The old one was just too racer boy for me. I’d still prefer it without the huge wing, but the rest of it looks pretty good.

Dave, must you try out your material for your next Boomer show here?

Dave Chappelle is 100% washed. He may have once been a great comedian, but he has gone full Boomer Humor.

Anyone who says a current-gen full-sized pickup is high. First, they look terrible. Every single one of them. And then people are spending money to make them look more terrible! Lifting of these trucks does not help the appearance.

Trucks are the No. 1 reason we are having a surge in pedestrian deaths and road deaths, especially lifted ones driven by limp dicked cosplaying losers. This world would be a better place if a lot of truck owners get a therapist or a peloton.

The difference isn’t that other cars can’t be vanity items (although many are pretty utilitarian, hello Camry), but rather that trucks have become a form of cosplay for most owners. Look at how hard truck adds try to sell you on the fact that you aren’t a doughy, unathletic middle aged suburban guy. No, sir, you are a

The obvious answer is the Outback. It comes with a really nice roof rail system. We have a Thule for ours, and it’s a great way to get extra space when you need it, which is only a few times a year, without the need to get something huge for those rare occasions.

Power lines should be buried, and there are a lot of good reasons to do so (particularly with regardless to storms), but making it safer for people to drive recklessly in super cars is not one of them.

A 40 mile commute! Only!
