New Trek isn’t any worse than Old Trek, you just got old and started wearing Nostalgia Goggles.

And then there’s the much larger percentage (like me) who never even started because it just didn’t sound great and the noise from people watching it was not convincing.

Yeah but Dragon did that on half the budget, Last of Us even less, which I think is the real problem. You definitely don’t want to be spending double to end up fighting to a draw. Not that Amazon is hurting for cash, but you gotta imagine they want to be maximizing their return on investment.

The last episode of the season could have easily been the pilot episode for the series with the rest of it skipped.

I did “finish” it, but I probably paid attention to 40% of it. Most of it was background noise.

You know they can always restart the Expanse....oh wait diverse cast, messages about corporate greed, real science...

“It’s so cool that they’re bringing in Palpatine’s boss(?) after never mentioning him in any movies. So neat that he was just off-screen the entire time!”

This thing we’ve never seen before could be fine if done right. Have to try and explain your way around how it wouldn’t invalidate the Rule of Two. Get around that and go nuts. Have him be outside the Rule of Two in some way.

But making this guy somewhat lovecraftian could work. An entity that works on much longer

Consistent with what?? With Leia remembering her mother even though she died giving birth to her? With Anakin making Threepio and then Uncle Owen not remembering him when he comes back with R2? Come on!

After the exceedingly disappointing, depressing, frustrating and occasionally infuriating experience of watching “Rise of Skywalker”, I was delighted when I rewatched “Last Jedi” the following day and still enjoyed it just as much. You really CAN just ignore the crap you don’t like!

I haven’t seen TROS yet (I got the flu the day I had tickets, and the weak reviews have not inspired me to rush to the cinema since then) but I’ve decided that even if it brutally sucks, I’ll be fine with the Sequel series being just TFA and TLJ. In what looked like a mistake at the time, Johnson gave TLJ a real,

Agree to disagree I guess? I loved TLJ’s idea that greatness could come from anywhere, regardless of parentage or royal connections. That may not be always be true in the real world, but it’s an inspiring message. And seeing that young boy at the end of TLJ force grab the broom got me really excited...because for the

My only real regret is that they never had the original 4 together in the same room.

I’m in the camp of at least the prequels tried to tell a different story.”

I think if it had kept on the path laid by Last Jedi it could have been interesting; the conclusion of the Jedi order and emergence of something new under the Force (as started by Luke), final elimination of the remnants of the Empire...basically a universe turning the page with Leia’s death as the final chapter. Rey

The difference between the prequels and the sequels is interesting. The prequels are terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE movies that nonetheless have a specific story to tell. They do an absolutely horrific job of it on every conceivable level. Every character kind of sucks in their own sucky way and nobody seems to be

Playing the Imperial March in the heroic-sounding major key, no less!

Yes. It annoys me that basically 90% of what we know of the character from the OT was depicted in Solo. Everything happened on his first adventure! Meeting Chewie, meeting Lando, the Kessel Run, winning the Falcon from Lando. He didn’t do anything else noteworthy between Solo and Star Wars?

I’m now a 100% OT Purist. I have no love for both Prequels and Sequels and I think that the true quality Star Wars trilogy will always be The Original Trilogy especially with TROS having completely screwed up the entire Sequel trilogy.
