The first punishment each should receive is castration. Their genes need to be eliminated from the earth.

The other problem with gossip is that, even if the person you are talking about doesn’t overhear, the other people who do hear you are liable to wonder what you are saying about them when they are not there to hear it.

I loathe “going forward”.  It’s too vague and also too pretentious, IMO.  Like something that tells the room that you are important without telling the room that you are important.

Yup. There’s no way to win. I use a handful of these on the list, and I will say that some of them are not necessarily passive aggressive. For example, I use “just a gentle reminder” sometimes with my students and it really is just a gentle reminder. Like, hey, don’t forget you’ve got this due date coming up.

Lets make sure to cover the rest of the story from the trib

Door handles that open doors are not disruptive enough.

First time my wife drove my BMW E39 Wagon she got locked in. She did not know that it needed two pulls of the interior door handle for it to open.

Hertz are scumbags for sure, but this is why the EV revolution is not viable as it stands right now. This would never have happened with a real car, worst case would be a recovery guy came out with a can of gas. But really, they could have been back on the road again with a two minute stop at any number of gas

The headline was a bad edit. I don’t think money is the primary reason people do this, although it is honestly a nice bump. I genuinely enjoy drying outside in the summer, its contemplative and smells good. Inside, I have clothes that shouldn’t be tumbled, so its a nice convenience.

But can the Sapphire set $44 billion on fire as fast as the Plaid?

Sen. Markey has a point about the importance of AM radio in a real emergency.

I don’t know if it’s so much a “dealer” advantage, or simply a “retail network that has been around and growing for over a century” advantage.

Here are the seller’s other offerings at the moment; I am formulating a theory involving picking up cars from estate sales. (https://losangeles.craigslist.org/search/lgb/cta?purveyor=owner&query=%22nine%20seven%20four%20one%22#search=1~gallery~0~0).

Love these Camrys, but hell no.

The only people that would buy this would be actual museums. But they wouldn’t, because it’s got way too much usage, and isn’t actually museum quality. Props to the owner for the meticulous care, but that doesn’t translate into selling it for half what it went for new.

Scandinavalous....

Swedish! Norway did you just say that. I’m Finnish-ed with you

One thing about Yugos: Whenever I see them placed on an “ugly cars” or “ugliest cars” list/book, I immediately conclude that the author has no credibility. They simply include the Yugo out of sheer laziness.

Of all the problems the Yugo arguably had, styling was not one of them. It’s a very conservative, aesthetically

I would go one further and say the default state of your washer door should be “open”. It should only ever be closed when running.
