At 76, I’ve been buying cars for 55 years. First one was a 13-year-old 1950 Chevy for $75 at a used car lot. Two weeks pay back then.

The only advantage AM has over FM is distance. But is distance important during times of emergency? Don’t I want to know what’s happening in my local area a lot more than a thousand miles away?

I’m with you, but think that instead of backing in you should park a little further away where you can pull straight forward into the far parking space. That’ll let you drive out of the parking space same as if you’d backed in.
