You have no idea how a VC (or PE) fund is structured. A VC fund like YC is a collection of external investors (called LPs) that pool their capital into a single fund entity. The LPs “commit” a set amount of capital, so that the total fund size is $X. The GP (the VC firm itself) makes up 1-2% of $X.

Do you think when a VC invests in a company, the partners are personally invested rather than the VC firm itself? It’s highly unlikely Sam was able to personally invest in any tech startup while he was heading YC due to conflicts.

I’m really surprised season 2 is going to cover the second game. What’s their plan for season 3? There’s no way they’ll be ready for a third game anytime before 2026, and even then I can’t imagine they’d want season 3 and game 3 to drop around the same time.

If Episode X requires having watched anything beyond Episodes I-IX, they might as well just kill off the franchise now
