I did! The crust is nilla wafers with pumpkin spice, vanilla cheesecake, apples, cinnamon whipped cream and caramel.  All homemade except for the nilla wafers.

My CSA also loads up the squash this time of year. Luckily, squash doesn’t go bad fast so I just don’t use it when I get sick of it and then come back to it later. And I make sure to skip weeks of the CSA when I get worn out.

This is a good point also. Luckily, I have the unbreakable ornaments. I haven’t put a tree up in years but that’s what I bought the last time. Threw them around a lot just to test too.

Thanks! She’s not huge but she likes to climb things. I have an upholstered dining room chair sitting in my living room and she climbs up and sits on the back constantly. She’s knocked it over twice.

I also adopted my first cat this year. I don’t normally bother with putting up a tree but I might this year. I also have a real trees only policy. My cat is well behaved but I can see her trying to climb it and it’ll be awfully close to my TV...

Yay! So happy you finally made it and it seems to be going well. And glad you got Masie back!

I hope so too. She’s getting tested Monday.  I have a friend who is a nurse and has been working on a COVID trial and she also suggested my roommate get tested at the end of this week and that I get tested next week.

It’s definitely big. We are pretty close in age and have worked together for about 9 years so it’s a very comfortable relationship. The people in my office in general are the reason I stay at my job.

I am so sick of working from home. I miss being in an office and having people to talk to.  Sometimes if we have issues we can’t discuss over IM easily, my boss will call me to talk and by the end of the call we just end up listening to each other type because it’s nice to hear other humans.

I am on lockdown. I woke up this morning to a text from my roommate telling me she was exposed to COVID. I haven’t actually been in contact with her since said exposure but she’s in my house so to be safe, I am acting like I have it.

My family has never actually made it seven fishes on Christmas Eve but it’s one of my favorite meals. And yes, it always includes pasta!  For us it’s usually linguini in clam sauce.

That link to the story about her being Italian-American is really cool. I had no idea that Jill Biden was of Sicilian descent. I am too and I’ve often wondered if I have any distant relatives in the villages my great-grandparents left.

I’m so jealous. I’ve tried multiple different TJs on different days and there’s always a line 20 people deep.
