I’d like to thank everyone who told me I was doing fine with my new cat. I weirdly needed to hear it from people who aren’t my mom or my best friend. I just cleaned up my first cat throw up so I’m feeling initiated into the club officially.

It’s kind of pyramid shaped and heavy as hell. The poor movers who had to carry that up to my bedroom on the 3rd floor when I bought my house. I can justtttt barely move it by myself.

I had been saying for a little while before quarantine that I wanted a desk for my first floor. I already worked from home 1 day a week and working from the couch wasn’t great. I have a big desk up in my room but I hate working up there so far away from the food. So I bought a desk!

It’s very handy! I live in a townhouse and I knew I wouldn’t go down to the ground level garden bed to cut herbs if I grew them down there and there’s zero light on my back porch. So this gets full light and is right out my front door.

Thank you! Yes, when I'm asleep or in bed at night, she feels braver but during the day she mostly hides. I woke up at one point last night and she was just staring at me. 🤣

Thank you! She's doing really well. Poor thing was bullied by her own mom cat so I hope she's learning there's no bullies here. Just lots of treats.

It’s possible she’s just using me for my blanket. She was rubbing her face all over it. This just happened. Cats have a history of loving this blanket. It’s very cosy.

Thanks, Krispy! There may have been a little catnip involved in the showing me her belly. lol I’m trying to let her come to me as much as I can. I sometimes do try to get her to come out but I mostly am letting her do her thing.

I planted basil next week and I’m really hoping it takes because all I want is to make all the pesto.

Thanks! She definitely seems to be learning that I’m safe. She came out this morning after I got up to get pets and she gladly accepts all treats. She sort of slithers like a snake to get to the edge of the bed for scritches or treats but if you try to trick her out she figures out the plan and retreats.

Thanks. I read in my many internet searches that most cats just can’t resist those wand toys and I guess they were right. It’s the first she’s really played. She usually stays under my bed during the day and comes out at night. She even curled up on my feet last night.

That pillow is so cute! No wonder she wants to sleep with it. It’s awesome.
