Haha, she’s resourceful in getting her human interaction. My friend’s son is a bundle of energy. She’s been taking him on daily walks just to burn some of it off.

Thank you! I swear I don’t do much besides follow recipes so I’m convinced it’s mostly luck.  My mom is an incredible cook.  I’m a pretty good cook but not as good as her.

I know. I wish I could help her more but I also work and it’s not like I can really help while quarantined. Can’t really stop a 3 year old from hugging their aunt.

Thanks! The cake and frosting recipe are from fine cooking and according to the website it’s from the ‘97 issue. It is a ton of frosting too.  I frosted both of those cakes and all 12 cupcakes and still put a quart bag in the freezer.

Thanks! I was very excited that it came out well as a loaf cake.  I was afraid it wouldn’t mound but I really filled them up, let them sit 20 mins before I baked them and baked at a slightly lower temperature.  I don’t know if any specific thing made it work but it worked!

My best friend has an almost-3 year old and she’s really struggling with quarantine. Her husband is an essential worker and works out of the house a lot and she also has to work her 40 hours a week while taking care of their kid because no day care. It’s rough on her. I really feel for all parents right now.…
