I honestly think the best end to the story would have been that the Others - the "white walkers," sorry - had won the battle of Winterfell and the last few episodes were their march southward ending in the decimation of the human race.  That would have been haggard.

Jon and Dany should have get married, they should have destroyed Cersei back in Season 7, and Season 8 should have been all about the Night King. 1 of them dies, gets crippled, loses an arm or a leg, goes blind, something like that, Dany gets pregnant, Jon dies, Jon learns about his parents on his deathbed. To me, it’s more like the argument against sexualizing fictional characters in games harms people playing them, desensitizing them to harassment and such. But suggest that playing a game like MK11 might do the same thing with violence and you get argued down.

Tom Savini got to be so good at depicting dead and messed up bodies because he was in the Army and served during the Vietnam conflict. He’s said in interviews he just depicted the messed up stuff he saw.
